I wonder if I hadn't saved Suomi, how it would have changed that game. I hadn't spoken to him by that stage. I could saved the downfall of my own and the villagers game.

Suomi was pretty suspicious of, I think, Indie and Big Ron at that point. We hoped that would then be who you made prime suspects.

I knew Big Ron was a villager.

Then there was all this stuff about Indie PMing Soldi which set us back several hours, by Rita not being very clear and Indie not confirming what happened. That was such a waste of time.

And what the fuck were those Indie/ GNL/ 10 dogs PMs about?
That was a twist which I planned from the start. I intended to tell a villager who had not been specifically cleared by the detective the identity of one Mafia and to tell the Mafia that this villager knew about them. I was interested to see what they would do with the information.

Fucks sake. The game did feel a little weighted.
I wanted it to be close and it was.

That said, in retrospect, I don't think the dark secret twist was a good idea. If Suomi had changed sides right near the end, it would have ruined the game. I think I'd have needed to find a way to keep him a villager if he'd survived past about Day Five.

Maybe make it a limited time thing, so the mafia had three days in which to find him, otherwise the evidence they have on him is destroyed and he can't be blackmailed.

Anyway, THANK you @dmlaw for running the game, and it was fun as always. I think I will sit the next one out as I know that maybe it's not as fun for other people when I play, but I'm sorry I just can't help myself :D I kind of just throw everything I have into it. When I found out I had to be Mafia I was actually really gutted because I felt really attached to saving the village.

I do think the Indie and his TEN DOGS revelation went some way to balancing it again though.

Didn't you get turned in the last game and then went really weird half way?

I was CRYSTAL CLEAR. Have you read the PM again? First page, I clearly say that me, Indie and Buttertart have been in a group chat since before mafia started. I can’t believe all 4 of you missed it!! :D

For clarity below is the EXACT post word for word.

Indie, BT and myself have all been in a group chat since before proceedings started. All 3 of us are villagers.

You didn't directly state you'd told him about Soldi's questions. I need shit to be SUPER CRYSTAL CLEAR.

Getting the ZenGiraffe and Gangsta Nancy Lam info felt like a breakthrough JUST AS Suomi turned!

Didn't quite understand Tisch announcing he had the poison about FIVE MINUTES IN!

Two months later Suomi was sentenced to life imprisonment

I spent ages trying to be helpful to soldi and he just got confused so I went along with it.

I also gave you all the information I knew. I was trying to be helpful but you especially weren't being very forthcoming so that made me feel like I'd made a mistake and was talking to the wrong side.

Nothing worse than being a villager with no powers so literally nothing to evidence!

We thought you were a mole or something, which is why I was being a bit aloof.

I was also really tired throughout. The endless messages were exhausting. Sorry @big ron, I had so much else going on and you were stoned last night.

I was using it in the first night no matter what in case I got killed and got it taken off me. I had hoped the mafia would hope I would kill a villager plus myself and therefore target someone else in the hope of killing three villagers in one night.

Them killing me in the first night was kind of a waste as I'd have died anyway, but I can see why they did it. It was a bit of a suicidal tactic, but I also just wanted to make sure I got that poison used.

We were convinced you were going to use it on Zen, and were hoping in the confusion people would think you had died because he was another villager.

(Opening the door for me to potion him and bring him back)

I assume that Mafia wanted it to be unclear if you had poisoned a Mafia member or a villager, so killed you before you had the chance to die. I wasn't quite sure what to do when you came back. Technically, you were revived on Night Two and had never actually died of guilt so I could have just killed you again straight away. I decided that would be too mean.
