Is there anything ASFM could do to make it more appealing to you?

It's a shame, because it's such a hit, that its become quite dominant, but it is also exclusionary by its nature.

I think I entered one with a kpop band, forgot it was a thing, ignored the call for votes and presumably came last? It might have been another song contest. I think Kala did it?

And Outsynk gifs in general. The sheer ability to have so many to hand that are entirely perfect for the occasion is so ridiculous I'm assuming he's a MACHINE.

That one of some kind of biblical desert storm or whatever it was (I assume from a film) in response to the announcement that Rita had cast her votes or entered ASFM or whatever it was, had me HOWLING

I find some of it baffling to be honest, but I don't want it to be more appealing to me. I wouldn't say I'm HAPPY out of it, exactly - but I do think I would find being involved much too full on.

It is exclusionary in terms of wiping moopy out outside of it, but it's such a hit with so many people I'd have to be incredibly churlish to be pissed off by that. And it isn't exclusionary in terms of denying anyone taking part. I see no reason to try and change anything until the people who DO love it begin to feel differently.

Being on moopy while it is on is kind of a nice throwback to remembering what moopy was like on a weekday evening pre lockdown.

Oh I'm not questioning the appeal generally. I'm aware I'm the outlier.
 
Oh found it. It was obviously funnier in context but in the midst of all that madness it had me roaring and I still think of it for some reason :D

:D I forgot about that! And about all the other quotes... I have a vague recollection of the nan behind wardrobe thing but that's it.

Not sure if it counts as a MEME, but my moopy highlight is the Friday night seemingly EVERYBODY was online and a bit TIPSY, and all hell broke loose concluding with Ellie Goulding getting her tits out :disco:

That and Ag’s LEGENDARY gay disco, and the breakout Housewives sub-community swelling and soaring to NEW HIGHS :disco:
 
Oh yes, it's a bit of a tangential one but dipping my toe into the world of the Housewives (Australia, New Zealand and South African editions ONLY) has been quite a defining memory of this year :D
