This is the all inclusive running topic for 2025 and we welcome everyone of all abilities.

Whether you are starting out on your journey and contemplating couch to 5K or if you're an ultra-runner or a sub-3hr marathoner - this is the place for you. It doesn't matter if your fastest mile is 14 minutes or 4.

We can talk training plans, gear, shoes, races, injury (hopefully not!) and share our goals for 2025 in a safe non-judgemental place.

Welcome!

I've still been running once per week (7.5km), but have definitely plateaued as 4 December 10kms were clearly at the very limit of my abilities. The aim is to run maybe 3 times per week to try and build stamina. Maybe I should youtube some tips videos. I'm chuffed to have kept it going in the horrible weather though.

I haven't had a proper run in probably close to a year and went out and did a (DEATHLY SLOW) 5k yesterday, which I was overjoyed about.

Wonderful!

I’m doing my Parkrun tourism thing this year and getting more alphabets and challenges under my belt. The purple 5k app is so addictive

It's been about a month that I've been running every day. Not interested in distances or time and more in actually getting out the door and doing something that can help me overall. It's been quite ok so far. Hopefully I'll keep it up.

Oh
What's special about it? I used to use MapMyRun back in the day, but last time I used it hated it passionately. So, I'd be intrigued to start using another one if something made it special or interesting during my runs.

Joined a 2nd running club to get more in. That's 5 days I'm doing cardio activity of different kinds. My gym is definitely suffering though, but keen to see if the running improves with 2 main sessions (I usually do 7.5km, but that's me done a 7.8 and 10km this week - both were quite difficult, so it will be interesting to see if within a month I feel as improved as when I did when doing my 3rd 5km last year, which was when I got much more into it).

Gymming invariably suffers when running volume goes up and I need to keep an eye on it too. This week I ran about 37 miles but could only fit in two gym sessions. It's a bit of a shame but that's just the way it is.

I've gotten back to parkrun for the first time in four years to force me into outdoor running, which has actually been nice.

Two so far plus two 10kms during the week and one shorter run during a work hotel stay.

I did recently join strava. Managed 2 10ks this week, but as Hydrox on Wednesday and a mini Hydrox style activity today can atest, I still feel so out of breath so quickly when it's just a tad too intense for me.
