Thank you!

I went ahead and bought them. They were nice to run on - will see how they hold up.

@Suedehead, they were down from 130 or something similar to 80, but I get a discount which brought it to 75.

May be cheaper elsewhere but I was feeling impatient.

I think my running is entering a strong period again :disco: I started last August and it's been very cyclical for me. in April I did a 9km in Lyon that felt great and was regularly doing 7km+ (current best is around 11.5km) — then got back to Amsterdam and my distances and pace both went to shit for a bit (with no injury) so I've been slowly building back up since. currently averaging around 6.5km. today I did 8.2km at 4:53 pace with some decent uphill sections so I feel really good about it again. but my mood is always dogshit if I have a bad run :D

Just did 5k. It was a generous pace, but I think doing 10 mins of a fat burn programme on the treadmill before a workout the last few weeks has really helped. My main concern was am I going to feel bloated and need to pass wind, so I will enjoy that luxury of not feeling like the actual running is a struggle.

Having a little jog before a run is the best warm up, much better than stretches. It gets your body used to what it feels like when it's running.

And WHO CARES if you give a little parp when you run? When you have headphones in and can't hear it it doesn't count!

Any running goals for 2026? I'd like sub 3:30 if I can for the marathon and maybe a sub-21 5K

A 5k in 20 min would be sweet. I managed sub-24 min for 6km last year.

But I came down with another cold this weekend, urgh.

y'all are ambitious!

my running feels like it's gone backwards lately. I think I'm injured/have a lot of strain in one calf and knee. distance and pace are way off my best. it's hard to know if I should keep trying to go 1-2x a week and get through it or take another long break. it's such a big comedown from what I was capable of in summer and autumn. ugh.

well done Soldi!! when you're just starting out and building up and grabbing new PBs it's so much fun.

You say ambitious, but I find its easier to motivate myself if I have a financial stake in it

You should take a longer break… probably not the answer you want, but you might be preventing it from healing by running once or twice a week

Injured my leg a month ago and under physio at the minute but I managed a cheeky 2 mile run this morning :disco:

Be a while before the three 5ks a week come back though :eyes:
