I can see the darkness. I can't quite tell if it's optimistic hidden under cynicism or the other way round.

I was sure you would give Time Machine a 10.

I agree with dmlaw to an extent. It doesn't sound like her voice, despite the fact she co-wrote it. Whereas Hang With Me does, even though she didn't have a hand in writing it.

Hang With Me is probably my least favourite of the singles. The chorus is great but the verses feel a little directionless.

Call Your Girlfriend. I always struggled to get past the lyricsif taken literally. Then I read it as her being the delusional bit on the side in love with someone who will never leave the partner and liked it much more.

Hang With Me is fine but suffers in comparison to some of her other material.

I think it was a poor choice of follow up to DOMO as well, and it probably harmed her whole project as a result.

10 Call Your Girlfriend

Call Your Girlfriend only works for me because of the vulnerability in Robyn's voice. If you were certain that her partner was actually going to break up with the girlfriend it would be too cruel for words.

I be wrong but the track order suggests it was very front loaded.

It is, but there's only one track I'd choose not to listen to outside of the album. And one I still properly LOVE to come.

08 None of Dem

None of Dem builds its way to being a real banger. I was concerned about it being five minutes long if it was going to be as sparse as the opening section, but it does seem to work.

I never know if how she learned English, but her voice sometimes sounds American which is quite irritating.

This one is not great. I don't think we really needed spoken word vocoders.

U Should Know Better. It’s not what most probably require from a Robyn song but I like it. It made my 20 track Robyn Spotify playlist. I limited it to a manageable(ish) listen in terms of length.

I love Dancehall Queen. I’m partial to a pop/dancehall/triphop(kinda) fusion. The last Santigold album was perfect at it.
