Moopy Upgrade - Snagging List

Is it possible to make it so can individually choose not to see posts from a particular forum, eg so @Ag doesn't see Real Housewives posts in the same way some choose not to see Dark Moopy posts?
Possibly? I did it as a one off for @dUb and the housewives but I don't want to have to deal with each individual request personally. There may be an addon that helps with that.

Also, we seem to have hit a roadblock with our hosts, who are taking an age to make the changes I need them to make before I can get back on to sorting embeds and a few other things.

It's Tuesday. IT people don't work Tuesdays

Will things look different on the app anyway @ZenGiraffe? If so there's not much point spending ages fiddling with the mobile version right now.

It will give you things like push notifications etc if you want them though, which is the main advantage of it over just using the web page. Also you get a moopy icon on your phone!

Ah OK. "no effects on styles, etc." according to MIKE.

Sounds like it won't work on iPhones though, or have I misunderstood?

I thought a limited version of it would work, but now I am not sure. Also if it is an industry standard they'll catch up eventually.

It shows up as an icon on iPhone if you use the share menu and add to home screen and it just opens up the browser, but that's the case for all websites already

If you wanted it to act entirely like an "app" then it'd need to comply with the Progressive Web App checklist (https://web.dev/pwa-checklist/) which you can check via Chrome's lighthouse tool. It'd need a service worker to give "offline" support (even if it's just a page saying "hey you're offline dumbass") and served via HTTPS (such as letsencrypt)

Zen hun you couldn’t get rid of that horrific post count could you?

How granular is the exclusion of forums from stuff like New Posts now? Because I'd like the option to have the Dark Moopy threads show up when there are new posts, along with everything else. Would it be possible to have it as an on/off switch for each user?

I missed this, this would be great - have an 'include/exclude from What's New' option for each forum on Moopy. They could all be opt-out, except for Dark Moopy which could be opt-in. If that's technically possible, I mean :tongueout:

Another one! (Sorry, I do like it really!)

At the bottom of the page underneath the share icon(s) I can go "back" to Moopy Moop but I'm sure you used to be able to go back more steps as well up until Home.

Fully aware there's other ways round this, but it's just something I liked doing.
Is there any chance of this? For example, on mobile, I can't navigate from this thread to Current Affairs & Debate.
