I’m gonna mention Space Brothers, Riva/Dannii, Cafe Del Mar and Encore Une Fois should be well ENSCONCED in the top 50 and leave it at that.

I always loved Encore Une Fois though it was inadvertently marred a bit by my drunken friend Fiona when she heard it for the first time at a predrinks mixtape thingy when she said “did she just say the cow DJ has returned” mishearing Sash as vache. It sticks in my head every time I hear it.

Saffron was a bit of an icon. 2 ridiculously catchy, ultra 90s iconic singles and then poof no more (and from the rush hour of mediocrity didn't cut it). What became of her?
 
I decided it would be easier to just open a new thread and then merge it with the existing results thread once it's over. MOD POWER.

Well I am mega excited to announce that I finally found a way to watch the damn playlist on my Switch, and therefore not have to constantly type in the next new song and then go back and comment, etc.

Oops, having subscribed to our host on youtube, I already started. The first 45 minutes haven't been up to much. I did click on the right playlist I hope: "top 50 totes quiche moments"?

This is like CD:UK being on at the same time as Julia Bradbury's Showbiz (which would have had to have been re-runs for this scenario to make sense).

1993, Germany, No. 10 smash! Jam and Spoon are Jam el Mar and Mark Spoon (No relation to Dave), which I suspect might be stage names. They’ve also released music as ‘Tokyo Ghetto Pussy’ and ‘Storm’. American singer Plavka Coleridge provides the vocals here, and the hook is based on Isaac Albéniz’ classical piece ‘Asturias’. Whigfield released a cover of this, which is an accolade worth at least a dozen Grammies. Spoon died of a suspected heart attack in 2006, and would surely have had another if he’d lived to see this final placing.
 
Not one of my favourites in the list, but that doesn't mean I don't like it.
