I'm paying for a Vimeo account at the moment that would likely let me upload it if you have issues with YouTube - just let me know

I found this out the hard way during the karaoke contests! Do it early and you'll know whether you have to change things or try out Vimeo etc as an alternative.

I was kinda hoping if I put it up straight away we'd have more chance of getting the initial viewing party out the door before it got pulled :D Is that naive?

It's a tricky one! I've had stuff flagged immediately while the video's processing, and other stuff that's not been caught until the following day. You also have two type of flag - one of them stops you putting ads on the video but you can still have it up, and the other type will block the video entirely. Which type you get is entirely up to the copyright holder, and I've definitely had the second type from using EBU material before (I really wanted to have the Shady Lady performance footage for Bev's karaoke version but they just wouldn't allow it no matter what trickery I attempted :().

Hmm. I've started the YouTube upload so we'll see how it goes...

If enough people are around then I'm fine with it, but I'd hate to rush it out to a minimal audience after all this waiting.

@Iguana - How do you propose we get it up on Vimeo as a backup?

The initial YouTube upload was immediately blocked :(

I think rather than rush out something half-arsed, I'll aim to run the results this week after I've figured out a solution (most likely via Vimeo).

Does Saturday night sound best to everybody else?

Just check with @Diddy since he might have something planned. I’m excited for this to happen in general, I’m not fussed which day.

@VoR i had been thinking around 13.00 next Saturday, I can’t imagine it lasting more than 2 hours, in all likelihood about 90 minutes. I’m sort of hemmed in by the time difference so hopefully you weren’t thinking that early?

Midweek is better for me and any night would be fine.
 
Poll added. I've made it multi-choice so just select all the dates that work for you. In the event of a tie I'll go with the earlier date.
 
I don't really have any preference at this stage, so please go along with whatever works for you and the majority.
 
tomorrow is the last day of sun here so any day other than then
 
I probably won't be following live whenever it is as my other half gets annoyed if I ignore him too much in an evening in favour of something else, but I'm more likely to have chance to check-in on a weekday
