It's a secret for now, but I can confirm that everything I've received so far is absolutely TOP TIER. Having said that, I've just recorded some vox for my one and they're an absolute mess so the standard is plummeting fast!
 
I’ve pencilled in the filming for Thursday. Post bottle of Cremant. I cannot for the life in me nail a CERTAIN NOTE and I’m hoping some CHEAP FIZZY will help.

Japanese karaoke rooms are pretty low on Eurovision songs though, I’ve only found Conchita, Loreen, France Gall, ABBA and Volare

I did have a slight concern as my walls are a bit thin, but did it come through in the performance? You'll have to wait and see (spoilers yes it did).

Entrants - you now have FOUR DAYS to get your songs in! I'm changing the closing time to 6pm on Saturday, because many will still be passed out at noon so it makes more sense.
 
My video recording will start tomorrow - waiting to receive a replacement for the home-made prop that ended up looking too shitty for even this purpose :eyes:

How is everyone else getting on? I'm going to randomly tag @Penelope as she's been silent about hers so far, but did answer the poll in the affirmative :ghost:
 
Shall we have some teasers about the songs I've received as of THIS VERY MOMENT? Oh go on then :disco:
  • Every entry so far is from the 2010s apart from two, which are from the Eighties and Nineties respectively.
  • Only one entrant so far has chosen an entry by a Big Five country.
  • Everything entered so far came top ten in their year's Eurovision final, and all but one of those ended up in the top five.
  • Only ONE of our performers so far will be covering a song that was originally sung by someone of their own gender.
 
Yeah, but maybe there's been a surprise rush from our Moopy ladies and they're giving us a load of hot male songs?

I have the wardrobe and vocal capacity to do a very accurate Manel Navarro impression if the demand is there to even up the gender balance
