I just want to say regarding the @Alla situation in the other thread in which he made an intentional omission of me from his 'reviews'. Frankly, in my view, this is basically bullying. Yeah yeah yeah, I'm a 37 year old man, I should be able to just ignore it. But when you don't even know what you've done and someone is intentionally excluding you from a group, then it can feel very hurtful.

When we enter into this competition we all do it for fun - I hope that you all got some enjoyment out of the video. But frankly it's made me not want to make one again because I am the only one who gets negative (or should I say: not positive) comments in response.

I know it sounds dramatic, but I'm deciding whether or not I even want to remain in this competition, because it shouldn't be about personal opinions of posters - and clearly at least one person is voting that way. I don't know what I've ever done to offend @Alla prior to the last competition when he started this vendetta against me - and if I did do something before that then I apologise for that. But the last hour I've been feeling pretty shit about this and that is not what I wanted to achieve when I entered this game.
 
I want you to know that I absolutely LOVE your entries (both this time and in the previous contest) and consider you an essential part of the success of these contests in general, whatever you end up deciding to do.
 
LOL - that's not my point (though I do thank you for the comments) - the point is more about getting the message to @Alla that he's actually being pretty fucking hurtful. Though he's blocked me so apparently can't see any of this anyway.

It's just totally unnecessary and like I say, it's basically bullying.
 
And on that note, I've just decided: if I pull out of the competition then it just does what @Alla wants. So I guess I'll just stay in it.
 
Whilst I appreciate where you are coming from, I don't think you should reward bullying (real or perceived) by dropping out. Plenty of people enjoyed your entry and give it a fair vote, and it would be a shame to let that be spoiled.

Cwej I have no idea about the backstory between you two so would have been weary about calling it bullying. Obviously I agree that it's not in good spirits to comment on everyone positively and then leave someone out.

My quoting you and not him was more in response to the mental health comment which jarred me a little, but obviously you spotted that yourself and removed it.

And I'll say it again that I loved your entry. I'd also hate for this drama to bring down what was such a fun and gay competition, not that I think it will.

It won't bring down the competition. But it just upsets me.

There IS no history between us that I knew of until he did the exact same thing in the last one of these competitions. Which I was confused by.

That's why it is bullying. Because there is no reason for it. It's bizarre (and why I made the mental health comment, because I cannot understand why he would do it).

I didn't like @Alla's deliberately shady post, but for god's sake definitely don't drop out.

This is all meant to be fun, and a way to blow off steam from real life which can be a bit a bit annoyingly stressful sometimes. Please don't let this forum (meant in both meanings) be stressful also.
 
Well it HAS been fun! That's the point though it IS supposed to be fun and BOTH times I've taken part in it it's been brought down by Alla.

No-one else has to deal with that. It just seems completely unfair that everyone else can just have fun with it without someone coming and ruining it for them.

Sorry just catching up on all the posts.

I think you have genuinely put a lot of effort and genuine TALANT into both entries.

I don't know the history, and I don't even know there is one. But I've been in your position where a poster on here seems to have a vendetta against you and you have no idea why but it's actually genuinely upsetting so I urge that poster that just drop it.

I feel awful that for some of the spat in the last contest I thought it was just a bit of fun and didn't realise it was a genuine issue between the two of you - I should have done something to try and nip it in the bud then.

@Alla you know I generally like you but I would very much like you to stop being an arsehole in this situation. I want this contest to be fun and positive, and not a venue for continuing spats, feuds or any other hateration in the dancerie.

It's very easy to say that when you're not the person that's being picked on...! It would be nice if Alla would do me the courtesy of some kind of apology.

But fine as long as it makes everyone else happier...!

Yes, that's true. But why is that such an issue? Why is he upset about it when he has been absolutely vile to me several times? He came out of nowhere during lockdown to call me a lunatic because I wanted to have the FF final a different day that something else someone was running. Exactly what everybody else has been doing here with their stuff. Then he made me feel like shit again, so I decided to block him. I have no issues, I just don't want to interact with this person. I didn't want to leave a negative comment, I can't be objective but I didn't have the need to be awful. Sorry if this comes across as shady or whatever, I didn't block him for no reason. I never blocked anyone before (except Su for a few days) and I had everything here for years, and you know it , but this is too much, specially these months that have been really hard, not the kind of things I need. Forgive me for not wanting to interact with someone that was so nasty to me. I don't wish him bad, I don't have a problem with him winning or whatever, understand this. Sorry for offending you all. I won't vote, don't worry.

I mean, even if not being totally objective was possible, a comment of "Nice Beard, Nice Vocals" would have been the minimum needed to be reasonable, not derail a contest and not make someone feel needlessly shit. I don't understand why that was so difficult

Because that's what I said last time and he went ballistic, and he literally said he would prefer no comment at all!! That's exactly why.
 
No firm date yet for the results, but probably something like the 5th or 6th of August (so a week on Wednesday or Thursday).
