I have no idea where to post this. But anyway, I'm looking for a mop and would like to hear what you guys use.

I hate mopping and I'm looking for the easiest option. So I was thinking of some sort of electric/steam (?) mop if that's thing. Does anyone have one?

Or do you do it the old fashioned way?

Or maybe you have someone who does the cleaning for you! :zsazsa:

Tell me everything mops-y!

We have one of those which has a spray thing built in, its perfect

I have a terrible for the environment mop where you reapply wet wipes. We only need to mop the kitchen so it will do.

I had a steam mop a few years ago, loved it for about 3 months, then hated it with a passion. It used to get clogged up for absolutely no reason and no steam would come out. It did used to clean well tho.

We now have a proper old fashioned mop and bucket, and we use lovely smelling floor cleaner, but this is only since not having pets.

Yeah our steam mop was shit, i was always taking it apart to fix it

I've tried all of the mop/floor washing gadgets and still prefer an olden-days proper mop head from the hardware shop on a wooden brush stave. I'm a weirdo who likes to first wet the floor with the mop, spray Flash lemon all over it then use a hand scrubbing-brush to get it properly worked in before I mop with clean water twice.

That being said I no longer have that kind of mop because I couldn't find a hardware shop so I just got one of those Vileda ones with a string mophead and use a normal mop bucket.

I swear there was some moopy joke about swiffers, but now I can’t remember

You guys are basically confirming what I had already feared, nothing completely replaces the old fashioned mops.

I don't know what steam mop y'all have been using but I love the one I have. It's from the Shark brand and it simplifies everything. No swishing or splashing, no rags or dirty water, and best of all it doesn't require any mixing or preparation. Just a couple of minutes waiting for it to heat the water.

The people who lived in this condo before me lived like pigs. The stains I had to clean I never knew could exist. The steam mop ripped through everything in a fraction of the time compared to the old-fashioned way.

You could also get one of those robot AI MOPS
