I feel it doesn't get enough discussion really. I want to know more about the background and also whether a 'Justice For MORE Abba Gold' campaign is worth my time. Thanks.

I think it was re-released around the time, one of the many Gold re-releases happened.

I could swap the opening tracks with 3 on Gold. For what is essentially minor hits and b-sides, it really is fantastic.

I had an ex who kept raving about how it was better than ABBA Gold (it's not but).

Yes I think Wikipedia says it was reissued as a bonus disc with ABBA GOLD in 2014?

But I think there's no vinyl since the original '93 one is there? @lolly to confirm.

It's perfectly well beloved among fans as a compilation. Gold is better because, well look at the fucking songs, but familiarity does breed contempt. Why have Waterloo when you can have The Day Before You Came?

It's been reissued as a CD bundled with Gold at least a few times (as Complete Abba Gold, Forever Gold, and the 3CD 40th anniversary set), and has been at least once (possibly only once?) as a standalone release - the back cover photo changed on reissue. The one above was the original, and the second one is this from 2008, so I assume for the first Mamma Mia movie.

I'm fairly sure the only vinyl release was the original, though.

I have it as a double CD with ‘Gold’ as CD1 as ‘Forever Gold’ which seems hard to find these days. Badly in need of a remastering for someone like me who doesn’t want to sit through all the studio albums.

Yes, it's such a no-brainer. Gold presumably sells well enough on vinyl, judging by the number of reissues it has had (and I assume it contributes a healthy amount to physical sales), so I don't understand why they haven't got around to it.

Great album and has the fabulous Angel Eyes which should have been on Gold. Also the brilliant The Day Before You Came. Bought it on first release in early '93. Gold was first issued in Autumn '92.

No. Was the first issue of the CD. From Woolworths IIRC.
