Name a now defunct tv show

I loved it back in the day. Partly for Morwenna Banks's 'it is, it's true' girl, but particularly for Denzil and Gwynedd.

Yes! Anything with Banks or Sparkes was always good, the rest was a bit more scattershot but Stoneybridge never missed the mark.

I don't remember anything of that other than I think the sketches were usually in a town council setting (?), and the pronunciation of the word 'Stoneybridge' itself by one of the characters.

I've probably got the VHS still in a box in the garage.

My dad generally had little time for television, especially the weird comedy I was into but I remember him laughing at Stoneybridge because it reminded him of so many meetings he'd been in as an elder of the local church.

Enjoy those repeats while you can...

I don’t know much about it to be honest. Just know it is regarded as one of the best sitcoms the BBC has made. I’m assuming the dialogue has aged like milk?

That and rumours about a central cast member who is (a) still alive and (b) isn't Nicholas Lyndhurst.

Oh probably. Most people won't have heard the rumours and of course it's in the NOTHING WAS PROVED territory anyway.

Ugh, where can I read about the allegations? I have heard nada so assume it is on a realm of the internet I know nothing about.

Ground Force 🪴
Ground Force Tommy, Alan and Charlie

Still see all three on TV every so often though, Charlie actually on a gardening programme.

I could list loads of CBeebies and CBBC ones haha, but I'll go with some less talked about.

I was exposed to many iconic songs thanks to this show:
