What are your favorites? My two standouts I didn’t know before were Hey Man and well well, but I think I’ll listen to the whole thing again soon.

Solid opening

I love, love, love the richness of her voice on this album. It got better on Folklore, but then was fairly unlistenable on the last two.
 
09 Shit on the Radio

I love the spitty verses and the stop-start production, then transitioning into the really lush, melodic chorus. Adolescent me felt like this was about all my school bullies, and my need to make them happy, and the day I would become famous and shame them all!

Which is coming.... On March 4th!
 
10 I'm Like a Bird

I was never the hugest fan of this song when it first came around, but in recent years, I've really come round to it's beauty and simplicity. The lyrics are gorge
 
I am listening to the album :disco: I've listened to it a few times in the past year, so it's not particularly unfamiliar to me.

Shit on the Radio was my jam back in the day.
 
11 Turn Off The Light

It's my favourite Nelly song, one of my favourites of all time, criminally underrated. The bird song gets all the attention, but this is just so compelling. Such great storytelling.

Teen Bev imagined singing it to her many lovers.
 
Turn Off The Light also conveys adolescence so well, being on the cusp of adulthood, greatness and and wanting to get on with it.

This album seemed to articulate so much of my search for something bigger.

'I'm running, I'm running, catch up with me life. Where is the love that I'm looking to find?' - my adolescence in a nutshell
 
Baby Girl is very BUSY. I enjoy it.

Legend gives you a much-needed breather after all the chaos that came before it, but it's not a favourite of mine.
