Catching up after a bit of travelling... @FetchFugly thanks for the nudge that there's a Boy Harsher album on the way!


Haven't really followed FKJ since he blew up on YouTube about a decade ago... his new stuff is quite good, and loving this new collaboration, very smooth and funky.



Another instagram-recommended artist... the music algorithm is working. Very inspired by Lil Simz and the current jazz/psychedelic-inspired UK soul and hip-hop



Stumbled upon this in a house playlist I think... wasn't sure at first (not rap house!) but the obvious Technotronic leanings have won me over. Yo pump it!

Didn't care much for the much hyped return of Shygirl with the last single, but this new one is a sultry BOP!



This Cameo collab is very French-disco coded. From a Canadian group and Mexican singer.



Fiorious giving us more funk and his voice remains top notch.



New Soda Blonde is a mood, might be a grower



Another new artist, this alt-R&B song is very 2015: synths and grooves



More synths - been following this new band Wasia Project, debut album is out soon. They sound good... Cannons and Wolf Alice influences

both Shygirl songs so far have been fab. the chorus on Lucky is a ray of sunshine and that explosion at the end is so Alyse is excellent too. I thought she'd lost it in the last couple of years, since Mr. Useless really, but I'm expecting a strong album.

Fans of ambient dance might enjoy the new Logic1000 album, which features other guest vocalists. I particularly like this deep moody shit

Okay so the Boy Harsher album is QUITE SENSATIONAL

The Wasia Project less so but it really wasn't what I was expecting based on "Vogue".

I think you'll actually like the Boy Harsher album... it's full of chill wave and new wave. It reminds me of what Groove Armada were doing on the Black Light album. Early 80s Bowie mixed with post-punk stuff like Joy Division, Depeche Mode, Roxy Music, Siouxsie & The Banshees... but poppier.
