New popstars of the 2020s

Almost 4 years into the new decade, and who are the new global pop superstars defining the decade?

Aside from Olivia Rodrigo I am struggling to think of any new acts that have genuinely broke through to significant success globally since 2020, which is pretty shocking. Last decade produced The Weeknd, Harry Styles, Ed Sheeran, Ariana Grande, Sam Smith, Dua Lipa and Taylor Swift (well her major global breakthrough at least) amongst others. Am I missing some obvious names, or just getting old?!

I will forever be grateful with this woman because all of a sudden, everyone in the USA is able to ROLL their R's and pronounce her second name properly which we share :) People finally stopped calling me Rorreego.

For myself I look at the parade of dullards who pass as pop stars du jour and I ask myself, are they as good as Modern Talking and I’m afraid the answer is generally NO
 
None of those 2010s ‘icons’ listed come anywhere near the icons of the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s or 2000s with the exception of Taylor Swift

I’ve heard Ed Sheeran compared to Elton John. LOLZ. In sales maybe, and even then he’d have to maintain his sales for another 20 years to come close.

Actually the names of current pop stars really bother me. So desperately dull. I’m sure Jessie Ware is delightful but that ISN’T the sort of name a star should have

Particularly when her real middle name is LOIS. Every Lois I've known (two) has been impossibly glamorous. Or at least better than Jessica.

Isn't it way too early to expect the decade to have produced global pop stars defining the decade, anyway? We're barely a third of the way into it. So most people who have attained that level of fame now will be a carry over from the previous decade. It rarely happens after one album - and didn't for any of those listed for the 2010s.
