I'd like to hear the Bat For Lashes album before I decided to cough up. I'm well disposed towards her but she doesn't always cut the old mustard.

I was very disappointed. Depends what you want/expect. Sounds like an experimental album, it’s mostly instrumental with her wailing and humming through parts of it. Sonically it sounds very nice I just don’t have the patience to go back and listen to it with different ears.

I think it’s an unfair review as I only flicked through the later tracks and it comes from having different expectations for it; I didn’t know it was more of a - I don’t know, maybe a concept album or something. So as a whole it might be an accomplished piece of work. I just didn’t get the random vocals here and there, it felt like, either sing on it or don’t…
