My very early teens indie janglepop faves The Darling Buds have their new single out today too ahead of their upcoming album. It’s the first new song in nearly a decade and first new album in over 30 years so I have to share!

My very early teens indie janglepop faves The Darling Buds have their new single out today too ahead of their upcoming album. It’s the first new song in nearly a decade and first new album in over 30 years so I have to share!

They were part of the BLONDE INDIE brief movement weren't they, along with the likes of The Primitives?

Yes, Indie Blonde, the press lumped The Darling Buds, The Primitives, Transvision Vamp and Voice Of The Beehive all together though they were all pretty different.

All lasted for 3 albums in their heyday which seems to be the typical breaking point of most bands at that time. I felt the Darling Buds were the ones who got better with each album but I liked them all.
