She can't be aiming for a Christmas release can she? OUT PERF THEM ALL with one note on X Factor. Something like Cher's "Stay" but a hundred times more cold and calculated. She'll probably have her death stares choreographed for her.

WITH inspiration from outspoken rapping nutter M.I.A. and Swedish singer ROBYN, the new solo album from NICOLA ROBERTS is shaping up to be more edgy than bandmate CHERYL COLE's.
Producer JOE MOUNT from METRONOMY, whose decent new album The English Riviera is out this week, said: "We did two tracks together, one of them is a bit more electronic-sounding.

"She was really into Robyn and M.I.A.

"I was surprised but it's a good place for her to start."

Ooh, those are some good titles at least.

From the few things we've heard about it so far, and also knowing Nicola, it seems that this will be the first solo Aloud stuff that doesn't totally ignore what made the group stuff so shitting marvelous.

Oh this feels like a thousand royal weddings. At CHRISTMAS.

I'm sure even if it's shit, it'll still be better than anything the higher profile lady popstars (and Sophie E-B) have been fobbing us off with recently, just because it's from our ginger siren.

Do you think Radio 1 will get on board with this?

I could see them supporting the "underdog" as it were and if it's good you'll get the like of Fearne Cotton crowing on about it for months.
