I was having a nose in HMV today (Liverpool) and noticed she's doing an in-store signing and a small performance the day after the album is released. I'm not doing anything that day, so I'd imagine I'll pop down just to see those teeth IN THE FLESH.

*monsta prays for Scotland visit*

I WAS planning on taking a daytrip when I saw the initial announcement thinking it was a Monday (it's a Bank Holiday up here) but HMV had got the day wrong. Quite frankly those incompetents DESERVE to go down the SWANNY making grave errors like that.

You know i've STILL not received the signed copy of Beat of My Drum that i ordered from the online NR shop.

Maybe if i ring up the helpline i'll get to speak to a member of Nicola's family :disco:

Just move on TP.

There's an entire Lucky Day BUNDLE which can be preordered ft. a COLOURED vinyl and a SIGNED CD.

Aw can I come?

Well I was thinking to try and WOO you but I like your idea.

I'm not going now. There's a MARKED difference between loondom-induced travelling 200 miles on a bank holiday with taking time off work to travel 200 miles.

There is absolutely no way I could get through a whole album of those shrill vox

Sticks and Stones in full:

That is honestly quite something. I'd be lying if I said I didn't have a little cry listening to that.

She's a great storyteller.

ERM.

I'm going to her album listening party on Monday.

WHAT DO I WEAR?

Has this been posted? It's the b-side to Lucky Day anyway and once again it's rather brilliant.

The album sounds mainly very good from those clips (Say It Out Loud, Yo-Yo and Gladiator sound especially good but I could be a bit grating) and I love Sticks & Stones, though the chorus does feel quite familiar. Beat of My Drum seems like a bit of a red herring now in terms of the sound of the rest of the tracks, which I'm quite pleased about in retrospect. Really looking forward to the album now, and it is fair to say my interest had dipped quite a bit.

Fix Me is good b-side fare too.

We met Nicola tonight. She was so lovely. The album is a 13/10 at the minimum.

I'm just a little bit overwhelmed.

OK the album went by in a bit of a blur but it was everything I could have hoped for. She's obviously put so much effort into it. Yo-Yo and Cinderella's Eyes stood out most.

She said she worked with Ladytron but I dunno if it made the album :disco:

I was genuinely terrified of meeting her in case she was really a RUDE GINGER BITCH and the entire foundations of my life were shattered but she was wonderful.

I'm not really able to express myself today. The combination of NICOLA TOUCHING MY CHEST WITH HER HEALING HANDS, a horrendous sleeper train home and being work is sending me LOOPY.

Lucky Day finally clicked with me. Very excited about the album now.

Just pre-ordered the album on Amazon :disco: I haven't bought a new album there for years.
