God HOW GOOD is this album

It’s kind of giving me lesbian early Pet Shop Boys but made in modern times

They were basically signed to a major in the wake of the first Years And Years album and it all went to shit not long after They’ve now released their album independently - the album is a little over-long, but I imagine that’s because they’d rather just GET IT ALL OUT NOW than risk sitting on songs that never get released.

Place To Rent, My Only Friend, Running, Dancing Makes Us Brave, No More, Too Late - all 11/10

The album is excellent, even if there's not a whole lot new there with all the old material and the stuff they released in the last year. The skits don't add a whole lot for me but otherwise so consistent top to bottom. The big pop moment of Dancing Makes Us Brave does feel a bit oddly placed near the end, maybe they wanted more focus on the newer material.

It's Easier is another highlight.

Definitely! It's album of the year material.

As @FetchFugly says though, the tracklist is a little odd - The Power as track 2 is v strange, it should be the album closer!

Brilliant new song. Amazing debut album. They are so slept on it's quite sad really.

SO GOOD live too - if we ever in a position to have live music/social gatherings ever again I would urge the world to go and see them.
