Alex Kidd DX would have been day 1 for me, but having the most popular version be more expensive, even if it's only a fiver, I am not endorsing. Mega shame though as I have been looking into re-buying all the Sega consoles and this would have looked neat next to the original.

I'd be SHOCKED if a brand name like that doesn't get distributed beyond those limited-release companies. Having a look at their website, a lot of the games they stock are also available through the usual suspects in the UK (ShopTo, Base, Game Collection, etc) so I'd suggest you wait and see, you may be able to get it cheaper than the original pre-order price.
 
We got a bump from something like update 11.01 to 12, so Adele has it a slather of NSO announcements are commencingeth hereth and noweth.
 
There was a rumour swirling around that we might finally be getting the ability to purchase specific games from N64/Gamecube etc - I don't believe it myself, but we'll see :eyes:
 
Oxenfree II, the Konami one, the turtles one and the one with the hot trucker daddy all looking good to me from yesterday's Indie presentation.
 
GetsuFumaDen looks jawdroppingly beautiful, but it's a ROGUE-LIKE so my boner has instantly softened.

If Dotemu can churn a TMNT game half as good as Streets of Rage 4, I'm all in.

Finally :o We're getting into the big games industry announcements period (E3 is next week I think) so there could be a surprise Direct coming to launch this.

I’m going to say “meh” right now but then when it comes out I’ll buy it on launch day.

E3 Direct announced (this will be 5pm UK time):

This doesn't quite line up with the rumoured reveal of the new Switch, but I wonder if they'll show that off this week then the Direct will show the performance differences on some of the new games (I'm assuming all games will be able to run on both versions :eyes:)
 
The Eurogamer article suggested announcing it earlier and getting it out the way so they can focus on the games for E3.

ResetEra is convinced of this too, so that the companies showing games at E3 before Nintendo can include that their games will be on the pro. Which makes sense to me.
 
I was coming here to suggest we do a sync, but I see we're already on it. The pre-3 "Pro" reveal rumour does make sense. I'll be buying a 4K TV if that's the case. Having it launch alongside BotW2 would be almost perfect as the hype of it all will be (gaming hyperbole incoming) "insane".

In other news I've pre ordered Mario Golf. It looks like an absolute joy. I own the GameCube one, but never played it yet. I think I played around 40 hours of 64 on the Wii U. The race mode looks like the best kind of Nintendo carnage (although i guess technically it's Camelot).

However, Bjork from All Is Full of Love as the new Metroid villain was good, but most of the rest? I just ain't receiving.

There wasn't MUCH else for me there though, apart from Metroid which will probably be a day one purchase.
 
I was told off on a CERTAIN DISCORD for being a CYNICAL CURMUDGEON so I will spare you the IN-DEPTH analysis but BOTW2 still looking stunning (although I'm having flashbacks to the shitty floating island-hopping in Skyward Sword and THAT was NOT GOOD, let's hope they've learnt from it) and obviously SMTV and the new Mario + Rabbids game are of interest.

Metroid 4 on the other hand is being made by the Spanish studio who turned Samus Returns into some sort of bad action-platformer with counters and free aim and also did Castlevania as if it was Willow the Videogame so my expectations are VERY GUARDED.
 
I couldn’t find a thread but has anyone played Captain Toad? It’s on sale so I was thinking about it

Yes, I got it full price when it came out and thought it was well worth it.

It’s not the longest game in the world, but you can replay levels multiple times to get everything. It also got some DLC if you want to extend it out a bit more.
