Three new games have been added to the Mega Drive service:

The gem here for me is Beyond Oasis (which was released under the name Story of Thor in Europe), a really fun action RPG in the vein of the 2D Zelda games.
 
Both excellent games, in the top 25 of my favourite MD games. Story of Thor is actually top 10 I'd say.
 
I picked up the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge after some glowing reviews and ...

it IS rather great! I mean the concept is basically a side-scrolling beat-em-up so big whoop, but it handles really well - an alarming amount of combo attacks, none of which sunk in though.
And it's kitted out as a SNES-looking game that's all about the original Saturday morning cartoon - I wonder if they have the original voice actors too, they are spot-on.

The challenges are a bit tacked-on so far, and I don't like how it puts a big notification up when you fail a challenge you didn't know you had - just leave that for the score screen. But anyway, other than that, lovely

This is on my list for sure. Have you played Streets of Rage 4? It's from the same developers and it's also INCREDIBLE (feel like I've ranted about it already elsewhere on Moopy).

My nephew is constantly going on about it but I haven’t… I mean I have a lot of nostalgia for SoR2 but it’s not a franchise/genre I’ve ever been THAT into. I might bite at the right price
 
I haven't bought a new game in ages. Can anyone recommend one?

I like mystery games, I suppose. Adventure, story-based. Puzzle-solving, AND SO ON x
 
The new Monkey Island just came out, @VoR has been playing it so he can give you a more comprehensive review but it's been well-received and if it's anything like the others you'll have story, humour, adventure and puzzle-solving GALORE!

Obviously a bit late now, but a puzzle game I've really enjoyed is Baba Is You:

Baba Is You is a puzzle game where you can change the rules by which you play. In every level, the rules are present as blocks you can interact with; by manipulating them, you can change how the level works and cause surprising, unexpected interactions!

With some simple block-pushing you can turn yourself into a rock, turn patches of grass into dangerously hot obstacles, and even change the goal you need to reach to something entirely different.

A pretty unique concept, and it can get quite tricky!
 
Oh thanks, I do like quirky little games like that as well!

I bought something called INSIDE in the current sale as it was only €0.99

ALSO I feel I must advise Agent A is in the sale and is possibly my favourite puzzle game EVAH!
 
Inside is amazing but I recommend playing it on the big screen for maximum effect and clearing 2 hours of your evening so you can play it in one go. It's easily finishable in 90-100 minutes and the way the game builds and builds I think benefits from a one-off session.

Another brilliant "one evening" game that I think you may also enjoy is What Remains of Edith Finch which is now also available on the Switch. Incredible game, very clever in how it incorporates gameplay in what is essentially an interactive story, and a very touching one at that.
 
The Bayonetta 1&2 woman mouthing off went a bit far. She doesn't have the right to autograph Bayonetta merch was the one I just though oh no she actually said that :D

Ironically, it could well be the one that sells the most.

Context? I know it's a different Bayo in 3 but I didn't know there was BACKSTAGE DRAMA.

I'll get the video, but she opens by saying the game has made $450m and she was offered $4k for B3.

Edit: if you're okay with Gamexplain, all of them are compiled here I think.

 
What a mess. To be fair I've no idea how much the ongoing rate for a VO is but 4k doesn't sound like much especially considering how iconic her work has been.

Doubt very much any fans are going to boycott the game though, let's be real.

Still torn over the visuals of these packs. On one hand it leaves room for the tracks being retro courses almost immediately on the next game and they'll get the "make-over" effect that's not quite here, but on the other hand I do feel they should brand it a bit better to be more transparent about these simply being Tour drag n' drops.
 
Literally HELL! I do like the idea of being able to disable certain items, particularly the lightning bolts which I always find slow down the race for everyone.
 
I love the accomplishment of destroying a blue shell with the sound box :disco:
