I'm feeling proper RAINUP SHITTER.

Now that is bleak.I don't actually put decorations up any more. I got fed up with how miserable the place looked as soon as they were taken down.
Has anybody made the most holy pilgrimage to Westfield/Bluewater/Lakeside/the Trafford Centre/the Bullring today?
The reason that we have to take it down on the 6th, is exactly because of the Goblins and what your mom says (we use another name for them, but they look exactly the samein depictions).

I definitely remember the 12th night thing from my childhood - it was my mum's thing. My dad would hold off until New Year and then he'd want to start taking stuff down. Especially after we had the cat who was want to get tangled in the Xmas tree or make the occasional leap for a string of cards (does anyone still do that, display Xmas cards on a bit of string pinned to the wall?)

One of ours does that, except she stays completely straight. And because she's a brown tabby, she looks like an otter. It was a work of art.
Anyway, I like that cat card on the middle right. It reminds me of our Sylvester who used to have the oddest sleeping position.

He asked me to write it, but I refused.
I mean he probably also puts them in mine. Really ought to read them one year.Aww I always like his little random messages in cards!

Update from my parents house: my day told me I have “hair like prince Harry” although I don’t have, and have never had, red hair
