Norway 2021: TIX - Fallen Angel

All things considered, I thought this edition had enough good songs to warrant maybe warrant a Moopyfestivalen treatment. I'd be up for hosting it and getting justice for Beady Belle and Royane (I've resigned myself to their imminent early exits. :(). :disco:

Though maybe not all 5 heats is the way to go. :goodgrief: Just fit all the semi-finalists into two semi-finals or something?

If I had to guess, I think it would be between Jorn (most well-known act), Stina, Big Daddy Carsten and River tonight.

Running order will be important too.

I tell you what, I’m not the greatest fan of these 80s hair metal entries, but so many of OUR FAVES could learn a thing or two from their sense of melody. They might be a bit of a RACKET, but underneath the sound of RAGE and the DEPTHS OF HELL there’s basically a schlager entry, more often than not.

I’d rather Big Daddy had got the ticket but it’s a bit of variety in the final I guess.

Weirdly, the Norwegian finals never seem to follow the usual patterns of Eurovision/Melfest , in that being placed 2nd doesn’t mean it’s chanceless

She opened the show last year and they still gave KEiiNO a pimp slot. It’s not like they put TIX last or anything and SHAFTED all the other favourites. As the only Kaja fan in the world I’m also very happy with her draw :)

I think the running order shows who the producers favour, but in a 12 song contest it really doesn't matter. The Mamas performed 3rd in the Melfest final last year so if Raylee is destined to win, she still will. But really I think making the final 4 is victory for her.

I do love Keiino, but they will never outperform 2019. Kaylee has, in my opinion, a better chance of getting a good placing in Rotherham. Also Rotterdam.

Surprised I'm in the minority on Moopy.
