I mean the rules have changed 354 times and counting since we all signed up but anyway... :D
 
I can't remember if I posted this or not but I actually think the random allocation of positions, then dishing out the countries by that allocation was a PERFECT compromise between those who wanted random country allocation and those who wanted to chose their country. On paper I didn't think it'd work but Kala really made it work. I know there were a few bumps, but it didn't take that long for all 47 to get allocated. If you picked a country you didn't really want that's on you really.

The reason there have been constant rule changes is because lots of posters keep posting their ideas and/or quibbles and Kala has actually done a good job of accommodating them all. I've been skeptical but so far I think it's all working really well and I can't wait to hear what Zambia has to offer. :disco:

I disagreed with the throwing out of Faroe Islands so close to the submission deadline but everything else has been pretty dead on. So WELL DONE KALA (can I have those extra points we talked about now plz)

Who else got told their choice was "interesting"? Trying to work out if it means "What are you THINKING unleashing THAT on a bunch of rabid gays?"

I was thanked but did not get an interesting - maybe my entry isn't that interesting? I certainly wouldn't PUT IT PAST ME :tongueout:
 
Also, for anyone that did pick something a bit leftfield, I am taking FULL credit for it. After all, me and to a lesser extent, DC, were the only ones to submit songs that didn't cater to a western audience last time. :disco:

Slightly off topic but it just came to me. Does anyone know what the deal is with BETS now Eurovision is cancelled? I suppose they’re just void rather than offering a refund?
 
I've just checked my Skybet account and the tenner I'd put on Germany has been returned to my account
 
Oooooh I've got my fiver back for Finland from Paddy Power!

I put another fiver on somewhere but cant remember who with! Although it may have been one of those free bets.
