I came in here to ask, with the emphasis on please don't shout at me, exactly that. I thought it was Sunday, but rules have been added as we go and not all are on the first page. Hard to remember what's what it in the hysteria.
 
I have one song/act in mind which I hope embraces what this is about. It's very fun for...well not a lot actually but I'm sticking with it.

It's ridiculous even though we've chosen our countries there's still a possibility of someone sending your song and how anxiety inducing that is even though the odds are stacked against it :D
 
I'm fully intending to use the entire week to DITHER about it.

This is my fear. Even though I have a stronger claim to the song than anyone else. If some one else does claim it first, I’m well and truly scuppered.

You just know 90% of people at least have picked theirs anyway

I was kind of joking about starting Sunday, but I think we're all just gagging to get going. However I don't see why we can't send our entries now to get it out the way...I'd have thought that would actually help and give him more time to work it out.

Exactly...!! The whole thing was done in less than 2 weeks from announcement of the competition definitely happening to the final results.

This was announced on Monday and we won't even have the first list of songs until just under 2 weeks in.
 
Well I think he GAVE UP on his own system by Number 27475 last night, so who knows, we might have the final results come Sunday evening.
 
The cross topic witch hunt against Kala is becoming increasingly uncomfortable.

Having said if you put yourself on the front line...
 
I don't mind waiting (:faloola:) but it's the weird two day gap to submit I don't understand. By now those who haven't responded will have a country...so surely we're good to start submitting unless there's a genuine reason otherwise? It's not a criticism
 
I think the WE WANT IT NOW demands are really quite fucking OFF given the effort put in by our generous hostesses, even if they are supposedly in jovial jest (which they’re generally not). I saw this in the Moopyvision threads pre-Corona SO THAT ISN’T EVEN THE REASON and it’s no wonder poor @VoR appeared to regret even starting it at one point
 
VoR gave me some very good advice when I took over Moopyvision duties for a week - “do not bow down to pressure from that baying mob, take your time in writing and have fun”

I'm sure we can all amuse ourselves for two whole days, in fact I have ACTUAL WORK TO DO :shock:
 
Isn't the timing all worked out so that the final coincides with when Eurovision would have been?
 
I'm the first one here for the drama and the fights, but I'm also the first one to stand by Kala or anyone hosting anything. There's such a lack of empathy here sometimes, if you don't understand why you can't wait 2 freaking days when you could send your song NOW NOW, just think of someone who is going to have his inbox flooded with dozens of pms and have to deal with a bunch of hysterical queens. He says we can submit songs on Sunday, which is very reasonable, and we don't have to question him just because we want to send them NOW NOW.

There are great relaxing herbal teas that do wonders.
