Having been back to Clacton-On-Sea fairly recently I didn't hate it nearly as much as I could have done. The benefit of being widely derided as shit was a lot of cheap shops in a very small space. Plus multiple arcades and a QUITE FUN pier. The crazy golf was not only on different levels but weaved in and outside. What a treat!
