Our French teacher insisted on translating "Joe Le Taxi" in class one day. In particular explaining that the title means "Joe The Taxi Driver" rather than "Joe The Taxi". This disappointed me.

...and who made her walk across grass in heels? She wouldn't put up with that level of amateurism nowadays.

A pre-cunt Morrissey, immediately charting higher than any Smiths record.

Eerily prophetic, this video, insofar as he spends the clip effectively stalking James Dean's ghost, mourning for a romanticised version of the past that neither he nor anyone else ever experienced. *sighs*

The Mission look like they're having a bit more fun with one of their mates on bongos...the song's still overwrought but they look like they know it this time.

I did like that episode with the SISTERS poncing about EXPENSIVELY in the DESERT in a totally PREPOSTEROUS way, which of course is why we love them, while the dreary old MISH are in the studio being LACKLUSTRE

Eldritch was very good at spending money..."This Corrosion" cost £50,000. The recording that is, not the video...

...oh and here they are in the studio. Eldritch looks a bit more cabaret than he wanted, I suspect. I think it's the scraggly beard. More Phoenix Nights than Arabian Nights...

"Ship Of Fools" was probably the first Erasure record I liked at the time (I enjoy some of the earlier ones retrospectively). Maybe shows you what a classic moody teen I was.

OMG

That episode included speculation about WHAT was UP HAZELL DEAN'S SKIRT

That's not a question you want to ask

DEAD at Chris Lowe's sailor hat.

What the very extra opening disco beats, the clues certainly weren't low key.

I do like it when they plonk the act in front of a gaggle of audience members. There was a sensibly dressed woman right behind Hazell clapping along in great seriousness that caught my eye despite the inflatable skirt.

Girlfriend is a stone cold classic. Good episode despite boring old Glen Goldsmith.

He's like a sweaty John Hannah - Neil Tennant and someone I can't put my finger on hybrid.

I must put FLOODLAND on again. WHAT A RECORD. Dump everyone and get in a GREAT BIG SYNTH, a DRUM MACHINE, JIM STEINMAN and a BIG-BONED GOTH CHICK to stand around looking FAB :disco:

It's a shame Climie Fisher is so damn unappealing, because Love Changes is a fucking banger.

He does sexy very awkwardly. It wasn't as horrible as that performance on the 1988 hits compilation show in which he was randomly waving a rag about though.

Jellybean had a great little run of singles. Just a Mirage sounds like a Hazell Dean song. Slightly awkward bump into the camera moment from Adele while she was feeling herself in the instrumental break.

A few years later there is no way that they would leave Pebbles wandering about the stage on her lonesome for a song like Girlfriend. She definitely could have done with a couple of dancers.

The album version of Pink Cadillac available on Spotify is not so hot.

Peter Powell really was useless. Sure DANNY WILSON are going to get that CHART TOPPER. And CRICKET JERSEYS? I don't remember THEM being a THING. It's a good week for DEAD GAYS with GEORGE and JERMAINE, the old FOP. I don't remember his third hit AT ALL. 'Get Lucky' indeed.

They always seem to get their future number one predictions wrong. Talk about the kiss of death. Poor Pete's hair seems to be decline episode by episode.

NO SIMON, Patrick isn't suggesting that she likes the wind...

Jermaine's 'DO is quite the construction. I quite like Get Lucky, much better than Say It Again.

Oh, it is, in its way, a cracking album and, on a chilly midweek evening, I;m far more likely to reach for it than I am "First Last And Always" but that might be down to how inadvertently camp it is.

I was thinking LOW-RENT KENNY EVERETT but that of course was ADRIAN JUSTE
You'll be pleased to hear Adrian Juste's career is still thriving

"Juste now provides the voice-over for the online bingo site tombola on its "Bingo 50" game.[citation needed] He presented shows in the south west on BBC local radio stations on Christmas Days in 2010, 2011 and 2012, and one final show that aired on BBC Radio Devon and BBC Guernsey between 12:00 and 13:00 on Christmas Day 2013."
