OMFG it's Saturday!

I woke up early because I got drunk last night and had a ridiculous row with Mr Sheena and it was playing on my mind. It's sorted now, but once again, it centred about the ridiculousness of his current state of mind doing this damned doctorate. He had his final exam of the year yesterday, it went really well, so I opened a bottle of champagne I'd been given to celebrate the new job, made a lovely dinner, basically spoiled him. Halfway through the night, I suggested we should meet up with a friend of ours over the weekend who has been trying to catch up with us and he agreed so texted her. Arranged to meet this afternoon and when I told him he went ballistic, screaming that "YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND, I HAVE MY THESIS TO WORK ON, I CAN'T JUST STOP BECAUSE THE EXAMS ARE OVER".

I will be glad when this FUCKING course is finished. NOT LEAST CAUSE YOU CAN EARN SOME FUCKING MONEY FOR A CHANGE.

LITERALLY in a split second. We were SEMI drunk, but not ridiculous, but the pressure on him at the moment is so high (his placement is working with people given terminal cancer diagnoses and is supposed to be for 3 months only because it's so hard but because of lockdown they've decided it's not right to change so so far he's been there for nearly 6) that anything can set him off. He's horribly apologetic this morning (and has a migraine...HA HA) but it's becoming INCREASINGLY difficult to live with. I think I'm not helping either, being on garden leave and just swanning about doing what I want all the time, albeit that I'm trying to be considerate of his feelings about that, but feel a bit aggrieved having to, well, I guess "play it down" is the right idea, when he's done the same every summer he's had off since he's gone back to being a student.

I do think being in strikingly dissimilar situations puts massive pressure on relationships. Tisch and I used to have fights on holiday when I would have to work and he understandably felt like I was prioritising work over him. I couldn't see why then but I can now, and he's also become more understanding - but it's difficult when both of you feel slighted because the other isn't understanding of why you're fed up

I would get annoyed at your work for not leaving you alone, and you would get annoyed at me for getting annoyed. But I was always on your side! I don't need 'prioritising' I'm not THAT much of a dick! :D
 
I've had the last week off while Mr L is working from home. He puts up with me laying around in bed all morning as long as I put an hour or so of gardening in during the afternoon.
 
Nearly two and a half years after the death of his mother, her house is finally being ripped apart :disco:

Although I did get a little emotional when I went over during the week and saw it's just a shell. But a shell that doesn't smell of cat piss at least.
 
Also don’t forget the FESTIVAL DI SOLDI (hopefully not drunk) RESULTS, starting 5PM
 
Finally a good Saturday at work (at the fancy branch school, not my usual tip), all nice calm private lessons.

starving now so going to my friend’s house to get pissed and have some bip burgers

Being done up from top to bottom. Mr Epponnee Rae is project managing the renovation for us. The plan is to rent it out after. If we were going to sell it, if would have made sense to sell it as it was, as I doubt we'll get the cost of the renovations back immediately.
 
Oooh lovely! Do send me pics once it's done please. I'm looking for ideas incase we decide to extend. I trust Eppy Rae's designs :disco:
 
I doubt it will be particularly :disco:, as it will be pretty bland to appeal to as wide a market as possible. But at least it will be clean and modern. And you'll be able to have two electrical things on in the same room at the same time.

Waking up for the third time today and finally feeling better.

That’s what you get for being up and horny until 6. 3mmc is such a nasty drug, don’t do it kids.
 
Today I visited some gardens/ garden centre. Had a Thai takeaway at my in-laws, played garden games and sat around a fire pit.

In normal times this would be nice but nothing special. As it goes it was great fun. Funny how lockdown has made me appreciate the little things.
