Patricia Routledge DEAD

Wasn't it for a LONG period BBC's biggest earner in terms of sales abroad?

Keeping Up Appearances was an immense success in the UK, and also captured large audiences in the United States, Canada, Australia, Denmark, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Ireland, New Zealand, Belgium, and the Netherlands. By February 2016, it had been sold nearly a thousand times to overseas broadcasters, making it BBC Worldwide's most exported television programme ever.

I DEMAND the whole series is put on Primetime again, in memory and celebration. Beats other recent and current 'comedies'

I demand Big Brother informs this years contestants. Then educates them on it with a 24 hour task.

If anyone BREAKS their China tea cups in shock, they LOSE! No Candle Light SUPPER for them, they have to sit in JAIL (Bed sit mocked up like Daisy and Onslows)

I imagine it was similar to Mr Bean in that it played very well without necessitating much grasp of the English language.

If there's not an Eastenders insert featuring Denise or Billy, probably because they live near the studio, then I'm cancelling my licence fee.

I might watch that CRUISE special episode over the weekend as a gesture of goodwill and remembrance whilst the BEEB work out what they are doing.

The physical comedy was fab. For ladies in their 60s, Patricia (and Josephine on occassion) had no issue hurling themselves into hedges or goalkeeping teacups.

If Sir Keir does not announce a national day of mourning (with finger bouffet, military band, and a venue with exclusive wallpaper), then I will phone-bomb the Houses Of Common with Chinese takeaway orders.

Just convert it into a leisure centre.
