I like mine CHILLED. And this is the best time of year for them both- they’re EXQUISITE right now.
 
Both.

But peaches are more satisfying when you eat them at the perfect moment. Just a shame that they go bad so quickly.

I can’t believe I’ve only just got the Blondie reference in that lyric. I just presumed that because none of the other lyrics make a LICK OF SENSE that that one was nonsense as well.

I’m not sure that I could ever choose. They are both absolutely DELIGHTFUL in every sense of the word.
 
It's so fun telling people that these are THE SAME FRUIT but with different skins (not that it's a conversation I have very often :D )

Certain people will SWEAR BLIND they are different fruits entirely if they didn't know already :eyes:
 
Anyway team nectarine, purely because the skin keeps better. The window of ripeness between under and ALMOST ROTTEN on a peach is QUITE SHORT in my experience.

I also love peach flavoured everything - cake, ice cream, yoghurt, sweets. Almost always my default fruit-flavoured choice if ON OFFER.
 
Also nothing more disappointing than a SPONGEY PEACH
 
Flat peaches might be a nuisance but they are almost always sweet. The same can't be said about their bulbulous brethren.

Anyway, nectarines for me.

On a related note, I only enjoy plums when the flesh is red. Can't be doing with that flavourless yellow innard.
 
Paraguayanas/flat peaches for me. They’re too delicious.

Otherwise peaches, but they have to be sweet.

Peaches. I love the soft texture.
 
Peaches for me - the real one and the fruit.

Although Call Me By Your Name put me off them for a while.
 
Peaches and nectarines both taste the same to me. The only difference is the skin texture isn't it?

I love both of them.

Just reading about the furry skin made me shudder, still each a peach even though I don't like the skin though, because they are nice.
 
Ooh if we are including PARAGUAYOS in here I will CHANGE MY VOTE.

A ripe and sweet Paraguayo is the stuff of the gods. Admittedly, the window to eat one of them in its perfect state is probably about 5 minutes, but when you hit that sweet spot mmmmm.
 
Nectarines! And as with all the fruit I eat, I like them HARD. I want that nectarine to feel like an APPLE when I take a bite.
 
Christ no. If the juice doesn't run when you bite it, it's barely worth having.
 
I can’t imagine anything worse than a CRUNCHY nectarine (or peach).
