Perrie - Perrie

My takeaways on first listen were Absofuckinglutely, which - again - sounds annoyingly similar to something else I can't place, but at least has a bit of specificity and personality. I could imagine it being a popular wedding/engagement song on TikTok if anyone pays it enough attention.

And Same Place Different View, which again feels a bit less by the numbers and an interesting insight into her relationship with Jesy.

On the whole though, it was a pretty uninspiring listen, and definitely compares poorly with Jade's album.

Changed the title since she plonked Tears on the deluxe

01 Olivia Dean - The Art of Loving (30,727) [23,511 physicals, 952 downloads, 6,264 streaming]
02 Perrie - Perrie (10,259) [8,950 physicals]
03 Robert Plant - Saving Grace (9,257)
04 Doja Cat - Vie (5,576)
05 Sabrina Carpenter - Man's Best Friend (5,557)

06 Oasis - Time Flies... 1994-2009
07 Alex Warren - You'll Be Alright, Kid
08 Polygon Window - Surfing on Sine Waves (2,457)
10 Fleetwood Mac - 50 Years: Don't Stop

Sales wise, Jade opened up the Monday midweek with 12,254, en route to a final total of 23,262. So Perrie is benefiting from a quieter week, she'd have been at #5 on the week Jade released. But still, I'd say that's a solid outperformance of virtually everybody's expectations and she should be good to hold onto the top 5.

Yeah much better than I thought, they her streaming is much lower than Jade’s on only day two, so I’ll assume she will be a bit more front loaded and probably finish around 16k and at #3 or #4. Still rather good but next week won’t be pretty.

Pleased for her, it’ll do them all well in the long run to look like they’re coming back together by choice not force if they’ve had at last somewhat decent solo outings

She's doing the signings too so I don't know if that will help as the week goes on in terms of physicals.
Looks like she should hold onto #4 given Doja is that far behind.

Very pleased for her. I do wonder what else she will do after the initial release though given the pregnancy. I am hoping for one more proper single.

She'll probably be pushing 'Christmas Magic' from November...is that on the deluxe? :D

Polygon Window will be almost all physicals, I'd have thought so he'll be #76 by the end of the week...

I note she's doing signings well into next week, I wonder if that will stop the huge freefall (at least a bit) in terms of physical sales boosting it in week 2.

Good for her, she's been promoting, bump and all like crazy.
Have had a bit more of a listen to the ALBAM - I like Absofuckinglutely and Sandcastle. Its all pretty samey but some good bops.

My favourite lyric is ‘when life hands me lemons, I just plant another tree, but now I've got an orchard. I drink lemonade for free’ from Punchline.

She dd 15,243, so quite a bit down on the 23,262 Jade opened with, but still a very solid result.

I very much enjoy that Kelly Clarkson-style pop she's making here so I'm glad she's doing well with it.

Do we know where this has fallen to in the Mids?

Genuinely thought that was a joke but

It's a fairly standard week-two drop these days for an album that doesn't have an active streaming hit on it.

Jade is also down at #86 in her fourth week, for what it's worth.

Jade started her tour yesterday so that might give her album a bit of stability.

Jade did have 3 weeks top 50 though (3-30-49) which is a much better than standard drop. I think she'll stabilise top 100

I would have expected a pop act to manage 2 or 3 weeks though.

Fell out entirely in the end. Jade #83.

255k streams on 10th October. Jade had 677k.

I thought it may have slightly better legs after she got quite a bit of buzz when it entered at #3.

Time to get last years Christmas single back out I think!

Rocket Scientist is the new SINGLE and its straight to the R2 A List

'Christmas Magic' has been her #1 song on spotify over the christmas period, and has risen to over 10 million streams, so it does seem to be ticking along as a modern seasonal singal.

It's her #2 track in terms of total streams. Although I think that's more a reflection of how nothing she has released other than Forget About Us has really been that successful.

Yes, although If He Wanted To (He Would) has been ticking along. I'm sure that will take back the #2 overall come January, but they are both a third of FAU

I wouldn't bank on it doing it in January. It's doing less than 30k a day.

Can she not ride the Sabrina wave or something
I mean she can be our answer to Sab-Car

The voice is too good. I think she should go into Disney Musicals. West End and Broadway, NOT touring productions!

Calling it "Bonus Tracks" isn't exactly selling it hard. Mind you, it's an RSD release, they could probably call it "Any Old Shit" and it would still be on eBay for £70 by 10am.
