HELL IS OTHER PEOPLE
This sounds like it would have been a potential SMASH HIT as a follow-up to "West End Girls" but it never even made the cut for the debut album, showing up in original form as the B side to the "Opportunities" single.
The remix became well-known to UK audiences as the theme tune to long-running Sunday evening TV staple THE CLOTHES SHOW, & I associate it immediately with SWANNING DOWN THE CATWALK as a result of this.
I was also AGOG to find out today it wasn't about 80s GAY CLUBBING, but a subculture called the ZAZOUS, who were more concerned with fashion & music in Occupied France than UNGLAMOROUS subjects like the Nazis & IMMINENT WORLD WAR.
I put this amongst the toppermost PSB tunes these days. Thoughts?
