Pink - Trustfall (new album out Feb 2023)

Yeah this is pretty good.

The lead gets a new peak on Spotify UK today and is #21 on US pop radio now, so it’s been taking off in a minor way - I imagine this may well put paid to any more (small) inroads for it. Would be nice if it can hit the top 40 today though in the UK.

Yeah, didn't expect a Muna-Robyn-Tove cocktail but I'll take it, VERY gladly. Banger.

Didn’t make the Spotify chart, but has made the Apple top 200.

Meanwhile Never…hits a new peak on both (#49 Apple, #120 Spotify).

no i think that's quite good! it didn't get high NMF placements. it will be a question of where it levels out.

this could really help the song in the UK

I didn't realise the album's out in 2 weeks already. Trustfall is looking at a 4.5m first week on Spotify, which is pretty great for her. not the best parallel but Ava Max consistently gets around 3.5m first week - she's less global but more current.

Parts of the chorus reminded me of something, but I couldn't put my finger on it at first. The other day I remembered where I had heard it: There's a part in Lesley Roy's Maps that sounds a tiny bit similar. Poor Lesley walked so Pink could run.

I think Leslie ran a lot too, that’s why she couldn’t bloody sing

This was really bothering me as I couldn't place it. Thanks DEB!

Oh no, now I'll never unhear it!

Cracks the UK Spotify charts at #173 today, which hopefully bodes well considering how long it took NGNDA to get any streaming action.

Is she definitely performing this on Norton and not Dance?

That’s actually impressive given the last one only cracked the top 200 once playlisted. If they chuck it on Hot Hits it may boost it well up over the coming weeks.

I had a listen to the "This is P!nk" playlist on Spotify last night. She really has a great set of singles, they're undeniable - and so many of them that you don't even need to listen to mediocre album tracks!

I wish the backing track had a bit more to it. Some Robyn style strings could really elevate this to God tier.

The video is trending on YouTube too. That’s fairly unusual for an artist 25 years into their career.

Did NGNDA ever crack the US Spotify dailies?
I don't think it did. If it did, it was very early on and brief.

It's #20 on pop radio right now, but slowing down. Still a good result for her. Would love if it could dent the Hot 100. Maybe album release week. It's been charting on Bubbling Under for weeks.

She co-wrote 6 of the 13 tracks, which is the least number of tracks she's co-written since Can't Take Me Home.
