I think this is neck and neck with "Bad Romance" as my favorite song of the last decade and every time I re-listen to it I'm shocked that it's still just as affecting if not more so than the first time it clicked with me back in '06. And despite generally liking Pink's output, this still towers above everything else she's done so so much and it's really the perfect marriage of her pop sensibilities and rock leanings (not the wannabe rock of "Raise Your Glass" etc but a genuinely moving and emotional performance).

And I could listen to this bit over and over again - just when you're expecting it to end it cuts deeper and deeper

That last kiss
I'll cher-ish
Until we MEET again
And time makes
It harder...
I wish I COULD remember
But I KEEP
Your MEMORY
You visit ME in my SLEEP!
My darling,
Who knew?

Perfect Pop.

I love this and U + Ur Hand equally

Possibly Pink's best song? I don't know, I generally love her music, but this is something else :disco:

Absolutely her finest hour. Stupid Girls put her back on the map, but this was the one that really put her back on the A-list in Europe. (America overlooked it until U & Ur Hand became a slow-burn smash).

Brilliant brilliant brilliant.

I was devastated when this originally failed to chart in America (even "Feel Good Time" managed that!) only making the Bubbling Under chart. I'm so so glad they went back to re-release after "U + Ur Hand" blew up instead of moving on to something else.

I don't understand why America was so resistant to it first time round. Stupid Girl was a moderate enough hit that this should have been her We Belong Together.

All worked out in the end though.

"Stupid Girls", although a decent sized hit, didn't sell the album. This was the album's first run in the top 100 of the album chart:

6-8-10-26-43-58-72-89-84-out of the top 100

And in America, once an album runs out of steam it is very hard to produce a follow-up hit. But I expected "Who Knew" to at least chart in its initial run so it is quite odd that it took a third single to revive it.

This is fantastic; I've been listening to a few Max Martin & Dr Luke playlists over the past few weeks and this song is one where I end up stopping and just watching the video on repeat a few times. Without a doubt the best thing she's ever done

I really like this one. Even the comedy Bimbo Jones edit is really something. I could do without the "punch them in the mouth" NESS about it all, but still.

I agree with you, it's obviously meant to convey that, but she's not some inarticulate in-and-out of prison girl from the bronx, she's middle class with tattoos and an occasional taste for beaver is all. I still gave it a 10.

When you look at a Moopy poll and a song has about 20 8-10 scores and one solitary 0-3, you ALWAYS know it's CONTRARY OLD EILEEN. :D

Oh it's good and certainly a 8/10, but I just don't get the whole 'classic pop' tag it gets.

To be fair to her, it's one of her best songs :)

i never got the fuss about this, it's ok but i never connected with it.

Oh my god, I have nothing new to say about "Who Knew" but it still moves me every single time and have revisited it several times the past 24 hours. What a one-of-a-kind song and performance.

They knew better
But still you said forever :(

I can't stand Pink usually but I can listen to this song on repeat. Sometimes the stars really align....

Some say this sounds like "Since U Been Gone" (which is a rip-off itself). I was wanting to do a best Max Martin song poll, but there really is too many. :(

This is amazing

I actually watched that just the other week and it inspired me to make a Max Martin playlist on my itunes - I bought a few extra gems like That's The Way It Is, Cloud Number Nine and some 5ive but what a cracking five hours of tunes it offers!
