On wood fired oven pizza:

Olives
Artichokes
Nduja or Egg
Peppers or Spinach
Mushrooms
(Chilli oil drizzle)

On American style:

Italian sausage
Mushrooms
Pepperoni (if I'm feeling naughty)
Peppers
Chillies

I just had a quattro stagioni at Milano's (Pizza Express over here) last night and it was great. And free because we used Tesco club card vouchers (how gauche!).

That's the reason I've never liked barbecue sauce on my pizza. Its color just reminds me of drizzled shit too much.

Went to Franco Manca yesterday. The meat special was coppa ham, tomato, peaches and gorgonzola and truffle honey.

I was tempted, but not the biggest fan of gorgonzola, so played it safe with the Napoli instead. And kind of regretted it.

I've never had that one. But a Greggs pepperoni pizza slice certainly hits the spot on certain occasions.

I'm going to Naples next month though so fully expecting to come back complaining about how we can't do pizza properly in this country

I just thought everyone was being a sniffy cunt, then I went to Italy and shut up. A genuinely elevated experience.

Are you going here? It's a must

The statue of the Veiled Christ is astonishing.

Oh, I had it vaguely on my radar because of the underground chamber with the skellingtons, but hadn't really clocked the Veiled Christ. I shall pin it now. Thank you!

A few years ago, I'd have hoped mention of Allo Allo would have summoned Dr Lecter, but if Madonna being critically lauded again hasn't managed it, I very much doubt anything will.
