The thing is we probably won't die any time soon. We're a democratic community. Forums die when an owner runs them into the ground. We have a semi regularly elected mod and admin team, which keeps the place ticking over.

The Popjustice mods and some of their members were awful. I was shadowbanned from a thread for ... who knows.. I think I said an artist's new album cover was not very good. And then banned when I asked a mod what is going on? Good riddance.

Since when are other people allowed to sit at their table? Not allowing new members to join Popjustice Forum essentially created an atmosphere where a lot of the users felt like they were in some VIP section. With them literally being in charge of the new forum themselves, I can't imagine they'll want that dynamic to change.

I'm not sure this is true. the forum is thriving, not trending down at all in usership, and has been closed for many years to new members.

It’s no better here - I was a MOD and I got fired and banned just for editing people’s posts and deleting threads and posts I disagreed with
