it's about as heartfelt as an out of office emailThe message you're stuck to read instead is admittedly a very heart-felt message from Peter though.

My very first Madonna forum, Madonnaweb, simply vanished like this and I find it extremely sad to this day. All those posts and long forgotten names just erased.is moopy using this shutting down saga to confront its own mortality? it's quite interesting to think about what should happen to a forum - if it's unethical to simply delete something that feels forever and is actually a cultural monument in a way

OMG. I remember Madonnaweb... and Madonnapower. It is so long ago now.My very first Madonna forum, Madonnaweb, simply vanished like this and I find it extremely sad to this day. All those posts and long forgotten names just erased.
I can imagine that for some of them, PJ was their first forum and it’s probably a sad day for them as well.
There is a discussion about the ease with which anything digital can be erased at a stroke and occasionally is. Server crashes and other technical failures are not an infrequent occurrence and data is fragile. It's difficult to re-engage with something from one's youth if all the evidence it was there has gone - TV series deleted from streaming that never had a video/DVD release, tumblr blogs and messageboards that have been wiped and deleted, whole albums pulled from or never added to streaming. But then, every generation struggles with impermanence, just in different ways.is moopy using this shutting down saga to confront its own mortality? it's quite interesting to think about what should happen to a forum - if it's unethical to simply delete something that feels forever and is actually a cultural monument in a way
Well now, I just wish I knew this place existed when I was being eviscerated and treated like I did an actual murder by one of the lawless mods over there when I happened to mention that Lady Gaga's career hadn't been quite the slam dunk I was expecting when it headed into Born This Way territory. Obviously since then things have looked up considerably for her - yay Abracadabra et cet - but honesty, I'm fine with that extra ahole they cut me now.
If you're still here after your countless CRIMES AGAINST GAGA then @hyperwoof has nothing to worry about

It's slightly a gay hate crime, it's often queer spaces this kind of s*** happens to. Much as PJ was problematic there will be a bunch of people who I am sure will deeply feel the loss of their community. Many of the mods can generally go and f themselves though - those people were out of control. My very first Madonna forum, Madonnaweb, simply vanished like this and I find it extremely sad to this day. On Moopsy you only need to be careful with Kylie. And if you even blinked the wrong way at Loreen Suomi would immediately ban you if he was still a mod. Everything else should be safe.Moopy’s hive mind has nothing on the PJ one![]()
