I had to double check there wasn’t a flop second effort I was forgetting, but even she pretty much acknowledged that she fluked her way to the finals due to everybody being utterly bewildered by the voting that year, so perhaps she decided not to push her luck…

I can't decide if it's a good or bad idea and I've thought about it a LOT. There's an air of Robyn-esque cool about her that could be easily washed away with a Melodifestival run, but then that air of cool doesn't seem to translate into sales the way it did for Robyn (eventually) and so I wonder if she's got a lot to lose.
I still think if she does enter and take it seriously, there's a Loreen- level European career out there for her.

Lisa Nilsson became one of Sweden’s most prominent vocalists and released a very successful album titled “Himlen runt hörnet” in 1992, 3 years after her Melfest participation. In one of the podcasts, she didn’t exactly refuse to do it again, but she doesn’t need it either.

She played a bitchy diva in Livet är en schlager and heat 2 of Melfest 2007 was Livet är en schlager being played in real time. She was competing against Marie Lindberg, a teacher from western Sweden who came out of nowhere and qualified for the final, while Regina Lund finished last in her heat. Of course the Marie Lindberg story was only partially true, because her husband is a member of a dansband (Date) and they have a record deal with a major label, so she obviously had some connections, but the media omitted that.
Speaking of heat 2 in 2007, this was underrated too. They released an album that only one blogger had back then and split not long afterwards.
