I’m a bit confused if the play is about amateur dramatics, is being performed by an amateur dramatics ‘troupe’ or BOTH. It is being staged in a village hall…..

It’ll either be hilarious or horrendous.

I've got a bit of experience with those because a friend is a member of an am dram group in a village in Somerset, and they perform in the church hall.

Just have a drink or two beforehand and you'll enjoy it, if not necessarily for the right reasons.
