If there really were people who found Rain too edgy, then LORD knows how they coped when Madonna met Mirwais, or frankly with almost every piece of music released by anyone after 2000. Hopefully they're safe and well.

It’s not a song I play all the time BUT there’s no denying it’s a 10.

I've always appreciated it's good but it's never WOWED me. I enjoyed it on the Celebration Tour, for sure, though, and when I do hear it I'm reminded that I like it more than I think I did at the time. I think it felt "safe" in a way Erotica wasn't. It would probably have worked better on Bedtime Stories.
 
I’ve always liked it rather than loved it, though agree it was elevated into something else on the tour. In terms of listening to it as a track I enjoy it initially but then get a bit bored with it as it continues.

Oh come on I've told this one before. I went out with this STRIPPER for a few months and he asked me if I could make him a CD with RAIN on for a new ROUTINE, but I only had the single with the edit on and he wanted the I FEEL IT IT'S COMING intro

I only saw his act once in BLACKPOOL which was quite a WEIRD EXPERIENCE. In the end we fell out because I was NONCHALANT about his suggestion of moving to my city and I couldn't pretend that the PHANTOM OF THE OPERA was ANY GOOD

LIVE AND LEARN darlings LOOK WHAT I ENDED UP WITH INSTEAD :eyes: Mind you he was from WIGAN or somewhere so I couldn't understand a WORD HE SAID
