Its dark and rainy but not storming here. I feel so English

Glorious day here, but it's cold...rain is coming tomorrow though.

I'm currently RIPPING CDs to play in Apple Music, which is way more complicated than it should be in 2026.

It's going to be dreadful tomorrow. I'm meant to be racing in Stubbington (hi Shee!) but will probably give it a miss.

I got rid of so many of mine last year. Sad - but had to be done. Still have tonnes left, many of which aren't ripped..

I hope you didn't GIVE them away! The AMOUNT of people who keep just chucking them or charity shopping them (and they do FUCK ALL with them these days).

I'm selling mine and any I come across. I didn't really rip any to be honest, but my Saint Etienne stuff (which I've kept) needs ripping as so much isn't on streaming.

I gave them away to be honest (charity shops). I just had one of those moments. I did make sure they were of very low value first let's not forget I'm a MATERIAL GIRL... it was all the shite like White on Blonde and ALL THAT.

I've kept Madonna, Tori, and some of the others I properly collect and the odd weirdly valuable CD now.. like the reissue of BRANIGAN! Who'd have thunk it?

There's no value in White on Blonde separately, but I'm forever selling 20 CDs to some random in Liechenstein or something and it ALL MOUNTS UP :disco:

(Plus, a LOT of people don't know what they're giving away...there's random shite in EVERYONE'S collection worth decent cash, even if it doesn't look collectible)

We had a move around of the lounge in the summer and I stuck all our CD's in boxes and stuck them in our "storage room". Nearly gave myself a hernia hoiking them up there, now I've no idea what to do when the time comes. They're literally just sitting there useless. I guess collectors will always be there, but how much market is there really for Jamelia's Walk With Me or Hot by Mel B (out now)

I made a mint selling off my CD collection. People really do buy any old shit sometimes.

How much do you get? Very approximately speaking? £1 a CD? I'd gladly receive that, but the effort to list, deal with buyers, and post is a COST in my mind as well even if it doesn't involve money...

And this is the point. You're not going to get anything through ebay, but the likes of Discogs if you can be arsed properly, then you can get between 50p-£1 for generic shite and anything rarer, obviously a bit more. Most people I've got collections off can't be arsed with that and either throw them in a charity bin or do a car boot sale and get fuck all as no one is really interested.

But I ENJOY the listing, the finding the pressing etc. It's something I actively enjoy doing, even more so with vinyl.

MOOPY DO NOT THROW OUT YOUR CDs! I'LL COME AND GET THEM OFF YOU! :disco:

I sold a cd on discogs for £50 a few months back. I saw a 'last sold' price that looked high and chanced my arm.

All of my CD singles exist in my parents house. There's at least 500.

CD singles can be worth decent money, depending on what and when etc. I keep my eye out for them more than albums...

80s cd singles can be worth an ABSOLUTE BOMB. I once got a load from our local tip and cleared £700 in the end off them. They now don't even bother keeping CDs in the tip shop, which is a sad state of affairs.

It is something very silly that I've already been reassured on.

A school has had a bad inspection report so I'm going to have to go in and say we have to postpone the work they've been doing on an award with me, despite being much too positive for months.

People pleasing-ness biting me in the bum.

But it will be fine I know.

You're just postponing, not refusing. Sometimes things just take a bit longer, but time goes so quickly it'll be done before you know it!

I am in bed already and I don’t feel the slightest bit guilty. Don’t get old kids.

I’m also already in bed and that’s not remotely unusual…
