Random Kylie 2024 stuff

Actually I wouldn't mind if we didn't get All The Lovers for a change.

Have we seen Marina has been added as support for the Hyde Park gig... I'm surprised and thrilled in equal measures.

‘Singing with her felt weirdly natural. There’s an unspoken bond between artists that I hold very dear. I respect how she has forged her own path and continues to do things her way,’ says Minogue. As a teenager, she had ‘the cut-off lace gloves and sang along to her songs in my bedroom, being my best Madonna’, she recalls. ‘Then later, in the early ’90s, I’d stay up till midnight to see the first play of her new video.’

Their duet was poignant. ‘She wanted us to cover I Will Survive for various reasons… she lost her mother to breast cancer and she knows of my history with it [Minogue was diagnosed in 2005, declared cancer-free a year later]; and we have both survived the ups and downs of being a woman in the industry,’ she says. ‘There was much that didn’t need to be said or explained to the audience, but it was understood.’

Apparently new music is on the way and she is supposedly teasing it here:

Just seen on SayHey that apparently these photos are from 2022?

What's happening with the 'new music' anyway? I hoped the Joel Corry stuff (which was confirmed, wasn't it?) would be for the Tension reissue, but I assume that's not happening now, surely.

If the Corry stuff does exist, I hope it's for a standalone project. I don't really like the idea of that being the sound of the next album.

I'm going on Saturday night. What's in her setlist these days @Eddie? I'm guessing it will be a crowd pleasing set of the big hits similar to Vegas, with a smattering of Tension here and there.

I'm already bracing myself for Kids and The Locomotion.

I genuinely don't know. I don't keep up with the setlists and I'm not going on Saturday.

Anyone at Hyde Park tomorrow? I’ve got a friend’s spare ticket going which I can’t seem to sell so if anyone wants it…

(Caveat: I have asked a couple of other people, first come, first served)

As long as he's not IN IT (hopefully), isn't that quite a promising thing, if she has a good relationship with him?

As long as it's good, I don't really care who the producer is.

It's not necessarily a benefit - his company are also producing documentaries on Take That and Victoria Beckham so this is actually part of a series and not the standalone project that was originally hinted at.

Oh Sheena, not SUPPORTING JAMES CORDON :nononono:

Not in the slightest. But AS IF Eddie isn’t going to watch and love it and the constant need to be NEGATIVE about just about EVERYTHING she does grates at best.
