RANDOM THINGS YOU HATE

SAME. I can hang a picture fine but I can't do a thing on these walls. They're so hard the drill ends up pinging off and going everywhere. I just use those velcro strips now.

have you tried a hammer drill? a standard drill won't do a thing on a hard wall!

how much can the velcro carry? they look very convenient

I have a friend who got someone in just to install a toilet roll holder. There are ODD JOB apps where you can get people in. Like Grindr but without the sex (probably)

I had one of these in to install a blind and I recommend it. The wall did actually break his drill bit, also no sex offered :(

Yes! I have my grandad's old one probably from the 50s or 60s. It makes a real racket and is hard to control but it does get through the walls. I mostly can't be arsed with it in all honesty.

Really considering this. Fuck trying to do things on your own (ie relying on people you know).
I have a light fitting sitting on the bedroom floor and a curtain rail propped up in the spare room which has literally been there about two and a half years. I should really think about doing the same thing...

I CONCUR WITH NOT LIKING BRITISH PEOPLE USING AMERICANISMS (MOVIE IS ALRIGHT THOUGH)

BUT ITS SO DREARY TO HEAR PEOPLE GETTING ANGRY ABOUT AMERICANS HAVING AMERICANISMS AND SOMEHOW FEELING THAT THE GREAT BRITISH EMPIRE IS AT STAKE

AMERICANS LIKE BRITISH ENGLISH I THINK, THAT’S WHY ALL MOVIE VILLAINS (THE BEST ROLES) ARE BRITISH

Nah, I hate Americanisms. Some friends of mine inexplicably started talking about "candy" once and I nearly throttled them.
I see British people doing those shitty dares on YouTube with titles like 'We spent 24 hours in a grocery store' accompanied by a picture of MORRISONS. It's just so weak-willed, like they genuinely believe no Americans will watch it because they won't understand the word 'shop'.

Also a lot of my friends say 'goosebumps', which is neither correct nor legal.

:gross::gross: Christ

Add people that say "that gave me goosebumps" every time they want to describe something faintly emotional.

did you read my post? British people saying candy IS annoying

I don’t mind Americans saying it though

it’s irritating me on the GamesMaster recap podcast i am somewhat reluctantly listening to. He’s totally British, but he always pronounced it TWIDDER instead of Twitter

Is he also mega posh? I've noticed that some people can be so plummy it starts to veer into DRAWL.

No, just normal vaguely anonymous Home Counties. I would try to find out but I don’t like seeing pictures of podcasters, it always ruins the image I have of them

I just popped up a hyllsystem because I couldn't be arsed drilling holes. I'd love a custom built one, that, that covers the whole wall around the door

Me too...preferably all walls. But I love the Källemo and Bolia ones I bought.

PEOPLE WHO CONSTANTLY SEEM TO BE TALKING ON THE PHONE ON PUBLIC TRANSPORT, EARLY MORNINGS ON THE WAY TO WORK...WHAT COULD BE SO IMPORTANT TO DISCUSS AT THAT TIME OF THE DAY, YOU DIM COW?!

All those fucking “LOUNGES”
To be found in BURY and other provincial towns

I believe they started here. We still have four, although a few have closed.

I can't stand the artwork. And I'm not sure what they have against salad, but it's always soggy.

Why don’t Boston Tea Party venture north of Birmingham instead :(
The Lounges always seem to be full of BRATS and mothers who let them run riot, have never ventured in.

BTP is my Monday morning go to.

They have just closed their Clifton Village branch though. Hope they aren't in trouble.
