I do still live in hope. Denise apparently leaves quite early on and refuses to film any more - so the cast will have to go after someone.
 
I say this every week, but I am so impressed with Dorit. She does not give a shit this season. :disco:

This. And now finally alluding to actually being broke as hell, too. Plus, deciding to go after everyone else, now that she's decided to come clean about her own shortcomings.

It'll be really interesting to see how Brandi (and Camille - is she coming back?) fit into all of this. They were needed for the last few seasons for sure, but this season is doing absolutely fine without them so far. But I'm very intrigued to see how Brandi in particular gels (or doesn't) with Erika and Dorit v.2.

I like her cos she's clearly already bored of Kyle and Teddi's bs. I would have lumped a lot of the others in with that too, but Rhinna, Dorit and Erika have pulled away from it somewhat so far.

Camille said she was to my going to be in LIMITED SCENES towards the end of the run, which is a shame, as I honestly love every second of screen time she gets.

I almost don’t want Brandi to come in? I find her really toxic and try-hard, and as you say - this season is JUST FINE so far without her.

I like to think that pre-this-season, the cast were told to turn it up a few notches or "we're bringing Brandi in" - so they've all done what they had to to deliver broadcastable scenes, so as to avoid needing to use Brandi too much.
 
I quite like this week's breather episode of New York, especially the first half where it was just them having nice lunches around New York :D

Sonja's disaster of a business meeting was an iconic scene for the ages. It was also fun watching Elyse (the friend of with black hair) get point blank IGNORED by everybody in every scene :D
 
Sonja’s confessional face is concerning. Also Jacques has not aged well and bless him but that while comedy show was tragic.

Elyse is supposed to be Ramona’s friend and she wanted her but she doesn’t make an effort to acknowledge her. She’s just letting her drown.

Dorinda’s rage is scary.
 
Kelly Dodd has been cancelled again for saying that Corona is no worse than the flu and that people will die. And just a few days ago the OC dummies took a selfie together wearing masks. OC is truly a dumpster fire.

But let's talk about Atlanta and EVA'S BOOBS. Cause they're social distancing. That zoom-reunion is far better than it has any right to be.
 
The amount of titties on display was just too much.

Both Kenya and Porsha were on fire. Eva (who I don’t mind) reminded of Alex MacCord on the season 4 reunion where she knew she was on the way out.

Atlanta always deliver at a reunion and I’m glad to see even a Zoom reunion couldn’t stop them.
 
They did an amazing job for that zoom reunion. Both the women delivering what they needed to, and the producers for splicing it all together so that the points and clapbacks were all heard clearly. Or at least as clearly as they would be at a regular reunion anyway.

Cynthia not even putting up an Eva-style fight in terms of keeping her position on the show. I think she's happy to bow out now and move to LA.

I also don't think Nene will be back either. She's expensive and her run this season has been a disaster, culminating in her getting up and walking off later in the reunion. Plus, she essentially can't film with Kenya, who I think will be a big draw for next season as she tries to work things out with Marc.

So those two exits might save Eva.
 
Kenya's smarts, ability to come prepared and deliver the quick clap-back when necessary has had Nene trippin' for years.
 
I haven't watched any of this season of Atlanta, but queen Kenya Moore delivered as always :disco: Apparently Porsha's "receipts" she texts to Andy and Cynthia are revealed to be fake in the next ep :D

It was an enjoyable shoutfest. I thought Eva came across really well, she seemed far more engaged than most of the rest of the cast did :D I loved it when they brought in Marlo and the other woman to do precisely nothing :D

I'm currently watching through season 9 of Atlanta and really enjoying it - aside from Kenya's possibly (probably) abusive boyfriend - I realised it's because it's the NO NeNe SEASON :D
 
Dorinda / Dorita continuing to come across as a really nasty, mean-spirited bully. It's not a pretty sight.

OMG I can’t stop watching the LuAnn in Leah’s apartment scene - it was from this episode after all. She seems to be visibly BRISTLING being forced to be in that apartment to film the scene :D

NYC and Beverley Hills are both on fire at the moment, they could both be looking at all-time CLASSIC seasons :disco:

Today’s New York was again amazing, far too many highlights to mention. LuAnn looking positively FOETAL at the moment. Also :D at LU being the one to take Tinsley to one side (and then talk all over her). Have they even had a scene together before :D
 
When Tinsley was screaming at Ramona to stop touching her and Ramona was just all over her :D

I don’t enjoy how much of NYC is about their alcoholism. It’s getting a bit dark.

This is so true TBH, Sonja on the bus before saying “I don’t really want to drink wine today...” fast forward to her pissing in a corn field on cam - it felt very Slurms McKenzie.

I think it might be why I enjoy LuAnn so much, her comedy comes from being a ludicrous human being rather than a drunken mess.
 
It's definitely getting a bit much where Sonja is concerned. The second-hand embarrassment is taking up a lot of screen time now. And I actually think it effects how the other women perform. When Sonja crosses the line into being completely obliterated, I feel like it causes the other women to take a step back and try to sober up in order to diffuse any situation that Sonja - the absolute liability that she is - might get them into.

I know that Dorinda's a nasty drunk but I can hold my hands up and say that I find that so entertaining - especially the slurring rants. Sonja's only entertaining up to a certain point - which she passes more often than not these days.

And yes, LuAnn walking through Leah’s apartment like she was touring a ghetto was an iconic scene. A classic.
 
Sonja is embarrassing 23 hours of the day. 22 hours of those are bad embarrassing. She's always been in the bottom tier of RHONY (and she'd agree about being bottom, probably).

Meanwhile, Nene has become a really poor caricature of herself. Incapable of holding an argument, insecure to the bone, no intention behind anything she says or does. "GIRL BYE" and shutting down her laptop seem to be the last two tricks up her sleeve. I mean, when Kandi shuts you down with ease, that says it all. And I don't mind Kandi but master of put-downs and wig-snatching she ain't.

The scene last season on the trip where Sonja falls through the table SMASHED was definitely too much for me. It wasn't funny at all, just super uncomfortable and slightly disturbing.

However the scene that happened parallel of Ramona telling Babs to her face she absolutely DID NOT want her to come out to the bar with her and Tinsley remains AMAZING :D
 
Andy does not like Kenya and you can tell.

I was off Eva last week but she won me back “mayday, mayday Nay Nay down” was the best line so far.

Nene should just leave forever. Kandi I think is my all time favorite Atlanta housewife, I’m watching season 6 and I love it when she goes off.

Not even displayed anywhere with any sense of order. Just plonked unceremoniously on the dining room table, at any old angle, so that the camera can get it in and it hopefully getting noticed by Nene. It didn't.

OMG watching part 2 of this reunion, Nene is just a nightmare. Just shouting at the screen, not adding anything productive and incapable of answering simple questions.

The show really is Kenya and Porsha these days isn’t it, with Kandi bringing the cash (via her sex toy MLM scheme :eyes:). I can see Eva getting another non-baby season as an ally for Kenya, as Cynthia is so clearly 100% checked out :D
