Real Housewives of New York

I'm on S8 in my RHONY rewatch marathon and I must admit the Bethenny/Carole double act/cliquey thing/BFF routine (and skinny shaming Jules) has really not aged well..
 
Omg I'm in LOOOVE with Aviva. The way she plays Ramona and Heather against each other, by schmoozing information out of them, only to turn around and tell the other one :D What a fire-fueling bitch.

Edit (20 minutes later in the episode): Aviva will fan any fire she can find! She's such a two-faced bitch! :D She talks behind people's backs, spills secrets and come out smelling like Roses :disco: And poor bimbo Sonja falls right into her traps lol

I’m not sure why Jules was cast, there’s a real unpleasant DARKNESS to her whole life. Her husband is HORRID, and clearly checked out on their family and having an affair, such as when Jules goes on a cast trip with the girls and leaves the kids with their father, who then dumps them with their grandparents and fucks off to the Hamptons!
 
I genuinely felt for her to be honest. She clearly was still struggling with her eating disorder and her personal life was a mess. It's no wonder she didn't last beyond one season.
 
I actually really like Carole. At first I thought she was super pretentious, but she's legitimately just got a lot of 'cool' qualities that most people pretend they've got. Not traditional Housewives material, but she's still fun to watch.

I thought her husband was cute :shy: she looked like a skeleton in the finale. It was disturbing.
 
I'm on S9 E5 on my rewatch marathon and yes that's Carole's election 'party' episode. :(

It still feels really sad actually, and rather poignant watching it today. So at least it's a bit bittersweet in hindsight.

Not sure if it's just Housewife fatigue, but Season 5 just isn't that great. Heather is such poor entertainment. How could they recruit someone so DULL?
 
5 and 6 are NOTED dips in the show, it really is all systems go non stop :disco: from 7 onwards though.
 
The initial bedding in to the shake-up of the cast was a bit of slog first time around, but I recently did my first re-watch of season 5 and enjoyed it a lot more than I remembered.

Season 5 is worth sticking with for the cast trip and subsequent fall-out alone.
 
Oh, Dorinda was HORRIBLE in her final season - and it can't have been just the EDITING.
 
We must be getting close to a season 13 trailer soon, although my intuition is telling me it may not be a VINTAGE YEAR :(
We do have Luann's SHOCKING TATTOO DRAMA to finally watch though, so there is THAT to look forward to in 2021.
 
Yeah it’s hardly going to be thrilling watching them shudder outside restaurants in November in an otherwise DESERTED New York.

It’s way too early for a trailer, I think they will start after Dallas so that’s like 3 months from now at least.
