People who said Ramona should have been getting axed instead of Dorinda really have no idea what they are talking about. Ramona is terrible, of course - but she's also terribly entertaining.

(I'm frustrated by the Dorinda axe, still - but she did have an awful last season)
 
A pretty solid if unremarkable first episode, definitely missing Dorinda, although we’re going straight into the Hamptons trip next week :disco:
 
Waiting on Mr. Frozen to get in from work so we can watch this. A year ago I only had a vague idea who these women are and now I can't wait to see them again.
 
SO HAPPY THEY ARE BACK!

Love Eboni so far, she's totally giving me Bethenny/Tiffany Dallas energy - and I sensed an element of frustration from her that she was going to have to go through all the pleasantries for a bit until she could really start to TAKE RANK in the group :D

The Luann new apartment scene had me HOWLING. Her new place has an actual, literal view over Tom's balcony! After over a decade of reality tv, she still has absolutely ZERO self-awareness of how she comes across :disco: As if you just "happen to notice" you are in direct eyesight over your ex-husband's TERRACE! :D

I sensed even more sadness than EVER from Sonja. There were underlying hints of rehab, alcoholism and severe depression not to mention MONEY PROBLEMS in that episode alone and I'm wondering how much they'll actually explore it this season. HOWEVER she was an enjoyable loose cannon as ever, and the biracial fish scene was a classic New York wtf moment :D I could watch a show about Sonja, her interns and the Townhouse forever.

Leah was THERE I guess. Too much airtime, but I'm going to have to just LIVE with that.

Not sure how I feel about "besties" Ramona and Luanne :D but Ramona already seems more engaged than she was for the previous two seasons so lets see how it all develops :D

INTERESTED to see how Bershan comes into it too, as she's in the trailer quite a lot.

I found Ebony to be playing up to the camera a bit. Don't come for me, but her 'OOh child, yes bitch' schtick got tiring for me.

I dislike Leah in equal measure and really miss Dorinda's chaotic malevolent energy. So far 5/10 for the opener.
 
Eboni more than delivered in that first episode. I don't think NYC particularly needed a breath of fresh air, but it's gesting a gust of one regardless. And I'm here for it in the form of the double act Eboni and Leah.

Leah provided one of the episode highlights by calling out Ramona's "I've really clicked with you, and I don't get that with new people often". :D
 
BUT those figures don’t factor in catch up viewings or us Queens watching on Hayu in other countries :factnotfriction:
 
I wouldn't be too concerned about ratings. OC was pulling in nearly 2 million viewers for some episodes earlier this year once the +7 days figures were revealed, and they don't factor in (unknown) streaming figures either which surely must be approaching live viewing levels.

New York's definitely one of the safer Housewives shows, and going on last season average rates about the same as New Jersey and OC (with Potomac snapping at the heels). For a show 13 seasons in, that's pretty good!
 
Also ratings don’t matter these days. They need content for the streaming services so nothing is going away.
 
She doesn’t even register what she did. What a woman. Also nothing pisses Andy more.
