Exactly! It's just failure after failure joining their ranks. Reform was already a bowl of arsehole soup and they're just making it worse.

It just proves that no-one else wanted them. Usually ex-cabinet ministers get decent jobs thrown at them but this mob were clocked as the idiots they are. So here they go again.
 
The funny thing is that every defection from the Conservatives just breaks a new record for their lowest number of sitting MPs.

This statement from the Conservatives is pretty brutal.

It was always a matter of when, not if, Suella would defect. The Conservatives did all we could to look after Suella’s mental health, but she was clearly very unhappy. She says she feels that she has ‘come home’, which will come as a surprise to the people who chose not to elect a Reform MP in her constituency in 2024.

There are some people who are MPs because they care about their communities and want to deliver a better country. There are others who do it for their personal ambition. Suella stood for leader of the Conservatives in 2022 and came sixth, behind Kemi [Badenoch] and Tom Tugendhat. In 2024 she could not even muster enough supporters to get on the ballot. She has now decided to try her luck with Nigel Farage, who said last year he didn’t want her in Reform. They really are doing our ‘Spring cleaning’!

Sad they climbed down. It would have been fun to see Reform try to navigate going after the Tories for ABLEISM and MENTAL 'ELF.
 
Really don’t understand their rationale for taking these toxic Tories who were inept and unpopular when in government. Surely they could find plenty of backbench Tories with no baggage to recruit, although clearly they think the bigger names crossing the aisle is a better WIN for them.

They should’ve publicly re-buffed them. It’s really not a good look even you’re whole USP is not being the status quo.

There is a small but vocal faction that wouldn’t bat an eyelid if Hitler and Gary Glitter joined up.

A lot of people I know who were swung by Reform were doing so as they saw them as an alternative to the ‘all politicians are the same’ illusion.

They’re more numerous and more likely to be put off by Reform becoming Tory 2.0

These are people who believe that the country is being flooded with FIGHTING-AGE MEN intent on ESTABLISHING AN ISLAMIC STATE who also RATHER MYSTERIOUSLY spend ALL THEIR TIME MAKING OUTRAGEOUS DEMANDS ON THE NHS
 
I said some time ago Farage would end up leading the tories- and it’s effectively going to be that that he achieves.
 
I'm actually kinda surprised and don't wanna give any credit to Farage but GOOD. even in this climate a line has to be drawn so that we don't become the US.
 
He’s not all that sacked. He’s no longer a spokesman but Farage has carefully avoided the question of whether he’s been thrown out of the party.
 
I think he wisely calculated that when a large part of your voting base is the white working class, declaring council housing should be MORE FLAMMABLE probably isn’t a GREAT campaign position.
