Richard O’Sullivan DEAD

[jyxz]

Actor probably most famous for ‘Man about the house’ with @Sally Thomsett

[Ellie]

Aww. I can’t say I’ve seen him on anything since at least the 90s.

[Ellie]

I see he lived in the famous Brinsworth House. I used to pass by that place every day on the way to college.

[FannyFaudrey]

Aww, I knew he'd been living in a retirement home for actors that apparently EMILY BISHOP has also been residing in. I remember him mostly from Robin's Nest in the late 70s.

R.I.P.

[octophone]

Aww, my mum liked him (to my dad's occasional side eye ).

[lolly]

I seem to remember my mum had a soft spot for him as well.

DIFFERENT TIMES

[Agneeta]

I've just looked into the nursing homes former residents. It's wall-to-wall OLD HAMS.

Imagine spending your dying years with Thora Hird, Kathy Kirby and Captain Birdseye.

[jyxz]

Just woke up at 3:27 pee em?

Oh @Sally Thomsett ! What a slut you are.

[lolly]

Different times indeed

Richmond Tertiary?

[ExcitableWoof]

He was massive mid 70’s to mid 80s then it all just went to shit i think.

[Ellie]

Richmond Tertiary?

Yes, that one.

[Eddie]

Different times indeed

omg why do I remember this being more modern looking? Did they change the set in the 80s? I recall a blue studio.

[lolly]

Parkinson had it for a good few years after Aspel, so perhaps they did. That set is painfully early 80s.

[jyxz]

Did Lionel always wear white trousers? My memory says he did.

I vaguely remember Michael Parkinson as the host but I distinctly recall Una Stubbs as one of the team leaders and Michael Aspel as the host and the studio being blue.

However it appears it never existed in that combination

It's funny how the mind and memory can play tricks on you.

[FannyFaudrey]

This is the set I remember most vividly:

This is the set I remember most vividly:

Oh yes. You could be right.

[lolly]

I think that was the colour scheme for every home I ever went in during the 1970s.

[Eddie]

It has touches of the bridge of the NCC-1701-D about it.

[ExcitableWoof]

Yes, that one.

i went there.
